Topic The Split of Our Front Page - Stories/Poems
Posted 06 Apr 2015 20:20

I haven't logged on to lush in several weeks but without skipping a beat my favorite clown is still making me laugh.

Anyway.... I do think the stories deserve more front page time than the poems because they are stories. It's a story site. Simple as that.

Poetry is hard to write, I'm not saying it isn't. But the fact is there are people that write poems everyday but there aren't people that write stories everyday. There's a reason for that. Having the same people on the front page everyday with 50- 100 quick words they slapped together is just obnoxious. Can you imagine being some new writer that wrote 6,000 carefully constructed words over the course of several weeks only to be pushed off the front page by some hickory dickory cock nonsense after only 6 hours? That sucks. I know I would be put off from writing anything else if that was my first experience as a writer here.

The division of the poetry and stories was the most clever way to deal with this problem. When I heard that was the way they were going to do it I was pretty impressed at whoever came up with that. Well done.

You know very well what my objective was in posting that and I failed but then that doesn't surprise me. I wont bother answering your question since the answer is obvious. There is however never a need to make any responses personal and clearly, to me, antagonistic. It typically destroys the thread, creates unwelcome drama and there is simply no need for it.

A little late with this don't you think? You should change your name to Johnny come lately. This whole imagined destroying threads or derailing threads thing you guys get stuck on has always been funny to me. This thread has as many responses (excluding mine, sprite's and trinknut) in the last 24 hours as it's had on it's most active days. Get real.

you know what your first post was doing. it's the same old MO. a member that you have a personal vendetta posts and you come in and post in a manner that's sure to get a response. i am tired of that game. it's one thing for tempers to get heated when discussing topics in the think tank. it's another to simply pop in and start name calling. please cease and desist. thank you.

Cease and desist? After you accuse me of something I didn't do? What name did I call her? Post in a manner that is sure to get a response? Can you explain that? So we are to post in the forum in a manner to make sure we don't get a response?

Drop it, Jack. next shot someone takes at someone else in here, people are going to be taking a time out from Lushing. i don't care if that's you, Trinket, or fucking Nicola. got it? thank you. For the record, i read the posts i deleted. i am not a complete fucktard.

I didn't do anything wrong. My first post is not any different than posts that are in any thread in this section of the forum. It's the response to me that devolves into name calling, crying, whining and hypocrisy.

Topic Celibacy In Religion.
Posted 07 Mar 2015 11:19

For the record, i deleted the posts. one, they were off topic. Trinket had nothing to do with it. if you can't stay on topic and revert to calling names, i'll delete them again.

senior mod, LS

Let me show you...

See how in your timeline it shows something different than what is in the thread now because I deleted the initial post and changed it to this. Do you get it now?

And I am the one calling people names? Are you reading the thread or just going by what your friend is crying about?

I didn't delete anything at all. I'm not a mod. I can't do that. It shows on my timeline too, and the screenies I took of it all.

Don't be stupid (more stupid) I mean when you type up something in the forum then go back and edit it out so it shows up in my timeline but not the thread. You know what you do, don't play dumb.

Good thread .. *some* useful posts .. some not so useful .. I do hope it stays on topic :).

Yes john you are right, this is such a good thread, oh my goodness. Look at all the pages of responses.

So are we not allowed to disagree with someone in the think tank now John? I see other posts in this thread that aren't on topic but just someone disagreeing with someone.

Stop putting words in my mouth because you don't understand what I am saying in my posts. Of course you can post on a public forum if you want to. What you aren't allowed to do is harass me which is exactly what you do. This isn't a thread about whether I'm an authority on anything or about how stupid you make yourself look, so how's about we let people who want to, post their opinions on celibacy in religion.

I'm not putting words in your mouth at all. I think anyone that can read can see your hypocrisy. Quoting someone and not agreeing with what they say, especially in the "think tank", isn't harassment. I think you need to crack open a dictionary. Didn't you just yesterday go into one of my threads to post a picture that had nothing to do with the thread? Didn't you just yesterday go do what you are asking me not to do?

Of course you can make a choice to stay here and post insults at me in between drinks. Pour Wine

I think you are projecting your own lot in life onto me.

Whether you want to see them again or not here is a reminder of one of the terms and conditions of lush membership.

I agree that I will not post in the forums, chat rooms, profiles, instant messages, blogs, comments or any place on, any message or material of any kind or nature that is unlawful, harassing , libelous, defamatory, abusive, threatening, harmful, vulgar, obscene, profane, racially offensive, inaccurate, or otherwise objectionable material or that encourages conduct that could constitute a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability or otherwise violate any applicable local, state, national or international law or regulation.

*pics mic back up*

LOL my post constitutes harassing? What about when you quote me, say all kinds of ugly things then delete them so they don't show up in the thread but they do in my timeline... What do you call that?

I'm gonna drop the mic again but keep going if you want me to pick it back up.

Trust me, everyone is tired of your childish bs now go and put your big boy panties on and mind your own business Jack. You've forgotten you posted this exact same thing yesterday. What I posted to someone else (which was NOT meant to be insulting) is not your business! If there is something wrong with my post a mod WILL let me know. So mind your own business and go.

If the only thing you can find a bit of entertainment with at the moment is writing insults on a sex site forum, to deliberately try to extract an emotional response from me then you have a very sad life indeed. If I were you, I would go away now while some of your dignity is intact, before you make yourself look like a worse troll than you did yesterday.

Do I have to draw your attention to the clause referring to HARASSMENT again? The clause isn't there to make the site look pretty, you know.

First of all. You are not everyone...

Second of all, saying I wear panties or calling me a pussy like you do in the PMs you send me (which I never respond to) isn't offensive to me. I don't consider women or pussies weak or an insult. I'm not a sexist person so when you do that it makes me laugh.

Thirdly, I can post in a public forum if I want, if you don't like it, then you go. I can say my post wasn't meant to be insulting either. I was simply pointing out to you that just because you have never heard of something doesn't mean it makes it unimportant or untrue. Believe it or not you are not an authority on anything. It's laughable that you would think you are.

What the hell song are you talking about? I've never heard it.

You could probably fill a library with things you've never heard of. No offense.

Seriously, what kind of response is that to someone that took the time to actually contribute something no one else has touched on concerning the topic.

Edit: I see you added a smiley clown now to try and change the tone of it LOL.

Now I am at the point of seriously considering just "forgetting" to tell PSBC about what he told me, because I know his health status, in order to keep our plans in order

That just seems incredibly irresponsible. Especially when it's pretty common for people on the internet to lie.

If I were him I would think this was some bullshit excuse to call off meeting in person after making reservations, taking time off work and all of that shit. I would think I was being catfished. If it's about more than just sex I wouldn't understand why we couldn't just meet and hangout if sex is off the table so I would think something is fishy.

Topic Has The Time Come To DEMAND A Recall Election?
Posted 03 Mar 2015 22:07

It is not just in Germany but in every country with parliamentarian system.
In simple words, where democracy was established power of the the country is in hands of people, parliament is voted by people who represent them, they are deciding about future of the country. It is to avoid one man show and to avoid totalitarian power. So president is basically new age Queen of England, social representor of the country where parliament who is run by prime minister makes political decisions.
How much power people really have is debatable, of course.
Hope this makes sense, it is awfully early here.

No need to put it in simple words for me, hun .

Just kidding. That makes sense. Still don't see the point in having a president. I mean a symbolic King with some cool outfit and crown makes sense for tradition but a symbolic president seems very strange.

Monarchy is indeed bizarre. There are many forms though. In the Netherlands for instance, our king has less power than the British queen I believe. Contrary to the British queen our monarch is not crowned, but inaugurated, as the power is not in him but in the abstract notion of 'the crown', which he merely represents. The Dutch monarch is not (entirely) free to speak his own mind publicly, as he's not supposed to represent himself but the entire nation. Because of that and the fact that it's an inherited title it has been referred to as an extremely privileged form of slavery. There is a possibility to opt-out though.
It's a largely ceremonial function, somewhat comparable to that of president in parliamentary systems where the prime minister (or chancelor in Germany) is head of government.

Damn, that sounds like a nightmare.

So what is the point of having a president in Germany then? Is it all just tradition?

I have some Thai friends and they tell me about how much power the Thai king has and how you can be killed just for publicly talking shit about him. The Thais are no world power but imagine if a country like England got a king like that someday? I feel like the world would get a little nervous about what they would do.

Absolutely yes I do they would follow her.

have u seen the changing of the guard?

She can and could and our miltary would follow her not our government should they disagree and i think she would have public favour, certainly mine and the armed forces, they fight for her not our government.

I wish you all had a Monarchy for us they serve a real purpose.

And no absolutely not she is not without power at all. she as i said can disolve Parliament and is the only one who can enflict a death sentence now she as total power i she wants to use it and she could.

That sounds scary to me. What if when she dies the next person in line turns out to be a total asshole... Scary shit.

Plus our Queen can dissolve parliament, she has that power should she use it but she doesnt. But all our PM's Must go to our Queen or reining Monarch.

No Government has absolute power, only our Queen does.

I don't know much about the Queen. I've heard she's more of a symbol now without much power but I guess not. Having a King or a Queen seems really bizarre to me. Like, what would happen if she decided to start ruling with an iron fist or something. Like if she started taxing you heavily, arresting her detractors and stuff like that. How much power would she really have? Do you think your military would follow her blindly like in the olden times?
