Topic The right to refuse service: What do you think?
Posted 12 May 2017 00:04

You may not want to eat in a restaurant, that refuses someone in the latter category, but I assure you, you won't be enjoying your meal either, when someone is uncontrolably screaming, yelling and cursing every two minutes at the table next to you.

Are you kidding? That would be awesome.

Gav coded a "Top 10" so I couldn't add any more! To have a Top 15, is very unusual. You are listed at the top of this thread as a runner-up!

If he codes an extra 5 spaces, for each new competition with only a Top 10, there will be empty spaces for those extra 5. Unless he does some complicated jiggery pokery. I can ask if it's possible if you wish?

You should do like a top 50 so we can see who was the worst.

I was in Berkley today and I counted about 7 shops that specialized in saris and not one of them thought to name their shop "Sari not Sorry". Stupid motherfuckers.

Topic The best movie of 2017...so far
Posted 10 May 2017 23:24

I thought "Get Out" was quite overrated. I heard such good things, so maybe it was just over-expectations. Colossal was unique (and filmed in Vancouver, which tends to raise things up in my book).

My pick would be Logan. I thought it was thoughtful, morose and (finally) actually violent, thanks the to R rating (side note: thank you Ryan Reynolds). A great movie, not just for a superhero movie (which I generally find quite mediocre) but for a movie in general. And... spoiler alert... the hero dies in this one, which always makes for a better ending. A great send off for Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart. If anyone thinks this movie is a lesser piece of cinematic movie making than "Hell or High Water," (which was nominated for an oscar) I'd like to hear your reasons.

A dark, gritty tale of redemption and loss with the prospect of of future salvation. Plus Professor X tossing a few f bombs. And I'm only slight embarrassed to say that I might have shed a tear when I saw Laura turn that cross into an x before she fled across the border into Canada. We can only hope that this is simply the beginning of R rated comic book movies that pander not to selling toys to children but remain faithful to source material and actually produce great movies with great stories lines as opposed to CGI driven popcorn flicks.

The other movie that comes to mind is Split. I thought James MacAvoy's performance was amazing. I doubt he'll get an oscar nod since it will probably be forgotten by year's end.

Totally agree on MacAvoy being worthy of a nomination. I liked split but the last third of the movie started getting stupid but the very end did bring it back around for me. Good movie but pretty forgettable to me overall.

Speaking about shedding a tear... That fucking Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 was hitting me right in my black little heart more than once. So far GOTG Vol. 2 is my favorite movie of the year. I loved it. I think it's better than the original which is fantastic itself. I think it's going to be hard to top for me.

It's actually fairly high on my list. I like strange, quirky movies and I like kaiju so this seems like a natural for me (though I will confess to not being a big Anne Hathaway fan which may work against it).

I'm not a fan of her either but I thought she was good in this and I wasn't distracted by the fact that it was her.

There hasn't been much I think is really good so far. Even the ones that I enjoyed like Get Out I feel are a bit overrated. It's a good movie but not some masterpiece. Logan, John Wick 2 and The Lost City of Z were good as well but I also thought they were overrated. Probably because everything else is pretty bad so it makes them seem better than they are.

I saw Colossal a few days ago and that actually really stuck with me. It's hard to recommend to people because the premise is strange and it's a little flawed but it had good performances and a story that is more profound than it seems.

Humans have about as much of a soul as dogs, chimps, flowers, cockroaches etc.

Not much. Mine disappeared when I was three. Last seen in my cousins lap late evening as she sat under the pine tree in the front yard. I pointed at it and asked about bringing it along when my father took me in the house, but he left Teddy with Chrissie. I searched for several days after for Teddy, but never seen again.

Remind them of how they obviously aren't up to your speed. Step your game up bozo or else I can't in good conscience call you my nemesis anymore.

I hope so, even though I don't know who this "nuder" is, I hope you let this young gentleman express himself.

Topic Does sex on a first date mean she’s not girlfriend material?
Posted 23 Apr 2017 19:57

I agree with the answer to the title question... However, I think that if she's having sex with you on Date 1, it says nothing about her opinion of your quality.

That written, if she is letting you touch what you can see the first second of Date 1 later in the same first date, there is no reason for there to be a second.

Can't really argue with about 87% of this.

Topic Does sex on a first date mean she’s not girlfriend material?
Posted 21 Apr 2017 23:47

Yes, yes it does.

I know you guys, in your self imposed house arrest bubble on lush, might scoff or be confused by this notion...but sex on the first date means she doesn't think you're boyfriend material either. She will fuck you on the first date because she finds you fun and attractive but if she wanted you as a boyfriend she would make you wait a bit and work for it... Because she wants to make you think she's not a ho. Sex on the first date is fuck buddy status not girlfriend status.

Topic How Lack Of Touch Is Destroying Men
Posted 21 Apr 2017 22:46

Lack Of Touch

When hugging a female friend, I'm always worried they'll think I've hugged too long for a cheap thrill. Which is never actually the case.

That's in your head. Just the fact that you think this way, is fucking weird and creepy. If a I knew a female friend tried to time her hugs with me to convey or not convey a certain thing... I'd feel creeped out. That's putting way too much thought into a basic human interaction. I've always known that you're a weirdo... so this doesn't surprise me but seriously, try to work on treating women normally and not calculating everything you do around them you fucking shithead creep.

Topic Who is YOUR favorite author on Lush?
Posted 18 Apr 2017 03:53

It's like the difference between masturbating and getting a hand-job. Sometimes you want to know what you're going to get and sometimes you want someone else to do the work. What are your last three titles, in case I want you to do the work? ;)

When I want a literary hand-job (sorry guys), I read puddleduck, browncoffee, oceanrunner, virgogo, sprite, ravenstar, jen, buz and other people I'm forgetting to list.

When I need a literary sexual mind game, I read avrgblkgrl or Liz.

I don't even jerk off when I read puddleduck. She's a get together to tear it apart.
