I think it's a requirement to go to school or at least get you GED. Now you're making fun of me. You are aware that i just had a foot long section of my digestive tract removed, right? i'm left with a semi colon.

Typical, typical American with their narrow American view of the world.

And gross.

Coma, doofus. And please don't joke about this. brain damage is not an excuse for comady.

Idiot.. she didn't go to school. She's literally been stuck on the same sentence for 20 years. Comma/semi colon? I think you of all writers can identify with that.

Btw, we're thinking of changing the block option to a 'notify user's mom' option.

I haven't talked to my mom in 20 years. Asshole.

See the box, Felix? Step in it. There you go. Your own little Safe Space. Feel better?

I thought you said you weren't going to respond anymore...

Well this thread certainly devolved in my absence. How ironic that a thread about treads getting taken over by trolls, got taken over by trolls. Okay, maybe not so much ironic as sadly predicable.

It was as predictable as the crying by the perpetually offended lush babies.

Hold on, not so fast, it could also be that one's Lush friends keep them informed about what all the people they have carefully blocked are posting. Because that's what friends are for, right?

It's almost like the friends find it funny or something.

Or maybe the whiny little bitch can't stand the fact that some of us won't play his stupid game any longer. Clearly it's gotten under his skin to the point of lashing out the way he has... and that's from what I saw from the quoted text and responses from you and other members.

Geez............ But you see? As nymphwriter perfectly and predictably demonstrated, you can still claim you only inadvertently saw the blocked person's posts because others quoted them and you read the whole thing before you could divert your eyes. You can also not refer to the blocked person directly by name ("whiney little bitch" in this instance) so you can trick yourself into thinking you're not really responding.

Unnecessary...

definintion of troll; One who posts deliberately provocative messages for the purpose of insighting an argument...

Why are you using an image of the mythological creature known as a troll? You do realize that internet "troll" refers to the act of dragging/trailing a line behind a boat right? Like for fishing? It doesn't refer to like, fantasy bridge trolls...

Every time you call someone a troll you are admitting that they can catch you with a lure designed to fool you.

Just saying.

Actually you had posted a few times before I acknowledged your trolly prescence lol.

I do have one question for you. How do you know if my complaints are never taken seriously? Friends in high places?

Because you, yourself, send hatemail about how you're going to get me banned but like, I'm not banned.

You are mistaken here my dear... if you block someone, no matter how many times they try to quote you, it never appears on your timeline. I swear it's true. Gav fixed this issue a long time ago.

And... you are correct... It never fucking changes.

You can always pretend you only saw said blocked person's posts because other people quoted them if you still want to respond but act like it's not really responding.

Nymphwriter has a tutorial on how to do this if you're interested.

Leave Trinket alone, she's only sticking up for herself. Show a bit of grace, stop quoting her. She's a nice honest person.

You must be new.

if someone you've blocked quotes you it still shows on your timeline. That's how he makes sure I see it. Apart from that, I wouldn't know.

There's actually no point to saying all of this AGAIN. It never fucking changes.

Trinket... you do realize that I posted in this thread and you immediately came in to look for my attention like you always do, right? Of course you do... You know that if you come in to quote me I'm going to tease you and then you'll have something to complain about again. It's your pattern. It's funny.

No one buys your indignation because you're a very dishonest person. That's why your complaints are never taken seriously... because you're a shit-head.

Here's the truly sad part Trinket... Jack is an obsessed stalker who clearly has no life and thus, must attack pretty much everyone for any little thing they have said over the last several years. I wouldn't be surprised if he has spreadsheets on certain members including yourself about every little thing you've ever said about anything and everything just to regurgitate it when he thinks it's necessary to make his stupid point.

The best thing to do is to just ignore him and if necessary... block his stupid ass. Then your timeline isn't clogged with his nonsense and maybe... just maybe... he'll figure out that you won't respond to him.

Yes some of us should toughen up a bit however What I have always objected to is personal insults, belittling people and being a bully. Sure Jack can be funny, but why do some people think it's ok to call someone a piece of shit or a dog turd, in a debate thread? Jack, you come up with some good arguments sometimes but then pepper it with this other shit. Ive never been able to figure out why. Seriously dude Ive seen you call people some really inappropriate things over the last 5 years. People who were minding their own business and hadn't said a word to or about you.

It's certainly not funny, and it's not necessary to prove a point so why? And why is it acceptable to some people just because it's the Think Tank? It's not only in the Think Tank though, is it? And it's not only Jack who does it in the Think Tank.

Remember when I called you an abomination in a thread about religion and you flipped out?

That was so funny dude.

For the record, I expressed no outrage toward anyone, in the Forum or elsewhere. Other than calling Jack an asshole in this thread, which even he probably agrees with.

I don't need any protection from trolls. Bring it.

I don’t spend much time in the Think Tank which should probably be called the Shark Tank. I spend 40+ hours per week arguing with folks in my job, I don’t need an extra dosage.

However the Think Tank should be exactly that, a place that makes you THINK; perhaps to develop a more balanced opinion, inform your arguments, improve your critical thinking skills or who knows, maybe even completely change your mind. It shouldn’t always be a comfortable place, there are other threads for that.

Despite Magical Felix’ somewhat caustic approach and his curmudgeonly use of a sledgehammer when a delicate rapier thrust might be more effective, if you actually read what he has to say he does shine a light on some inconvenient truths.

People who disagree with you, don’t share your beliefs or values, or God forbid voted for Trump are not automatically trolls. They MIGHT be…but the ability to entertain opposing viewpoints in an adult manner is to me a fundamental part of growth as a human being.

As for Felix, at times I’m horrified but what he posts but other times I laugh so fucking hard; I just shake my head, thinking “I can’t believe he just said that”

As for me, I’ll enjoy the Think Tank on my own terms, celebrate freedom of speech and hopefully get a bit of an education. Life isn’t always warm and fuzzy, the Think Tank isn’t either.

Right on. Voting for trump doesn't make you a troll even though you face some harsh opposition on here. In the end that's just a political view. You like oranges I like apples. That's the extent of it really. If all your friends agree with everything you say all of the time the world would be a very boring place. Best to have a laugh and cheers it up later.

wow Jack, this is really a new low for you. You do realize he really did lose his wife, right? He's raising two girls on his own. Enough about his personal life, that's going too far.

As far as safe spaces go in a University, please. Poor babies need a 'safe space'? Should we provide pampers too, just in case they get so upset, they get the runs? These are our future Lawyers, Doctors etc. This is what happens when we raise our kids to think that everyone deserves a Trophy just for participating. Whaaa!

"Oh my god please don't say "poor baby" in such a flippant manner. My mom used to say that while she repeatedly beat me with a wooden spoon when I was 5... she'd smack me and say aww poor baby! You'll never be a lawyer or a doctor with that attitude! how dare you not know that asshole!"

That's what verbal did.

Now simmerdownchick... walk to your bathroom. Lift the toilet seat... and see if your head fits.

This was so wrong, Felix. I had to read it twice to make sure you actually said what you said. I'm not going to get in a drawn out argument with you - I simply won't engage any further. But I did want to state that I found this to be one the most hurtful things I've read on any social website. There's always room for differences of opinion and arguments, but that was just mean. Shame on you.

Thank you for proving my point about what is wrong with the lush forum now.

My hypothetical question about asking a wife about your online activity and then changing it to "anyone then if your wife is dead" is somehow worse than someone using their dead wife to avoid a simple hypothetical question because they don't have a good response. Laughable.

Every time I think you can't hit any lower you prove me wrong. You say something like that and you're calling others a piece of shit?

Something like what? You can't ask members to ask their wife or husband something in case their significant other is dead? Sorry trinket but can you explain to me how not knowing someone's spouse is dead is worse than using that dead spouse to try and and make someone look bad in an internet forum? Anyone with half a brain can see what the point of my post was... The point was to ask someone whose opinion you care about wether they think having lush be your safe space makes any sense. Maybe your creepy ass knows everything about everyone on here but I don't... I have a life.

And look, I know you are still mad that I called you a dog turd before... That was years ago now. Get over it.

But I don't need a safe space. I will just stay away from the thread. And you.

Well good. I mean you have said that before, but you still come looking for more... Hope it works out for you this time my fragile little friend.

My wife is dead, asshole.

Oh my god... You really are vile. Using something like that to try and make me look bad, yikes... Sorry, I didn't read the verbal biography. You know what the point is though.

Go tell - anyone who is alive - that your safe space is a porn site. Not a lush member, someone in your real world... Then come back and tell me what their reaction was.

I do.

I probably should have led with the more identifiable thing. Last week I went on a school trip with my daughter. Every now and again us parents were asked to move away so they could do a head count of the kids. I think if not for the uniforms it could be easy to miscount another child, not in the group.

Bullying in schools these days is far better than when I went. Still, some parents are borderline ridiculous with the things they buy their children. Recently it's Jo-Jo bands (some girl on youtube) 1 hairband for like £20, next month it will be something else. Same with trainers, where do you draw the line? The kids who don't have these things are going to covet them, some even steal them and the ones who have them are mean sometimes. Having a basic uniform alleviates this because they have to wear simple black/red hairbands, plimsolls for PE not trainers. It's not foolproof by any means and can still be quite expensive.

I've never known a school that doesn't require a uniform, it's how it is here so who am I to say which way is better? It works for us and they do look so cute and smart.

When I was a kid it was anything goes unless it was extremely in appropriate like a shirt that said "fuck you" or shorts so short that a girl's pussy is hanging out. Now most public schools say no to red/blue shirts, shoelaces, hats or anything that may seem like a gang-related flag on your body. Anything distracting too. Like bright pink dreads or lights on your clothes and shit like that. Some schools have it to where you need to wear "khaki" colored pants and a "white" shirt but no specific uniform. It just has to meet length and color guidelines.

Honestly I think uniforms are good but more for teaching kids discipline rather than avoiding conflict.
