Interesting idea. Our site isn't set up for it though.

You could start the story off, ask for feedback, and whichever way the most people comment, follow that direction? dontknow

Its actually set up great. They'll decide in the comment box or by telling me in a PM, online message or chat. I have the sites complete talk package to help me.

Isn't that what the embellishments were? Or did I completely miss the point of that?

Yea you completely missed the point of that. Embellishments lets them write the story how they wanted it to go, wherea I only let them pick which of the two outcomes occur, they have no influence on how the story goes after they pick, I'll write that. They pick by leaving a comment deciding which should happen.

I've been thinking about a new way to make stories interesting, since theres only so many fresh ideas because theres so many stories that almost every idea has been used. Anyway, I was thinking of letting the readers decide how a series I write plays out. How I would do it is I'll end the story on a cliffhanger type setting, and give the readers a choice of what happens. Example...

"My sis was waiting for me in her room, but my mom was waiting for me in hers, where do I go?"

The readers would pick which room he would go in, but I would write the story how I wanted to happen, they wouldn't influence how I wrote my story. I guess I'm looking for honest opinions on what people think of this idea, if its a good idea or not. Thanks for the feedback.

Topic Writing a story from the view of the opposite gender
Posted 21 Sep 2010 03:29

I feel that story will be dry and completely sexual as that's the way I view the man's perspective for the most part. This is my fear. I'm afraid I will completely misunderstand the male and offend someone. Oh well.

Not all of our stories are dry, but yea some are. If you think about offending someone, you might, because youll be too paranoid. Just be confident in your ability in knowing the opposite sex, if youre not, just ask the opposite sex for opinions. Im writing a love story from the female POV, itll be hard but I think I can capture all the emotion and essence of the female character, if I cant, I know where to go for help.icon_smile

Im currently putting together a 3-part series for a story, and I plan on writing it from the female POV. Does anyone think its weird for a male to write a story from the female perspective or vice versa? Do you think they can capture what the other sex would say or do?

Yeppers. That's what I define the tag-line as.
ok, you got a deal. get your popcorn readyhappy1

Now the only part to uphold your end of the bet, is to post a little bit more here in the forums so people can see what I draped on your tagline. icon_smile

Being from Cleveland its natural im a die hard Browns fan. Im also a mad Chargers fan,Im glad one of my favorite teams could win the ship, but im still waiting on my Brownies to get it done. GO BROWNS!

Hey, Nivek...wanna make a friendly bet on this Sunday's game. Straight up, no points. If your Browns win...you can 'tag me' for a week...and I'll change/edit my forum signature to anything (within reason) that you want to 'tag me' with - for 1 week, til the next Sunday.

Similarly - if my Chiefs win...I get to hit your signature with some friendly graphitti !

Sound interesting? evil4

That's a typical bet between I and 45 other fcktards on my other football-heavy forum I frequent. I thought I might try to introduce the custom - here.

ok sure, sounds friendly enough. but just to be sure you mean change your "i have not done it all" quote?

Being from Cleveland its natural im a die hard Browns fan. Im also a mad Chargers fan, and was extremely pissed when the Chargers let Drew Brees go and kept Rivers. Hes proven to be a good QB and leader though, but hes no Brees. When he left and went to New Orleans thats when I became a Saints fan, and it helped even more when they picked up Reggie Bush (even though he really hasnt done anything). Im glad one of my favorite teams could win the ship, but im still waiting on my Brownies to get it done. GO BROWNS!

Topic Do You Ever Feel A Moral Obligation When Writing?...and how does it affect you?
Posted 15 Jul 2010 11:40

I have just recently joined this site and I'm still fairly new to writing myself, so I know how it feels to have the "pressure" on you to write a good story. I write my stories the way I want them to be written, if you read all the comments and try to give everyone what they want, it isn't your story anymore. The only opinion that should matter is yours. Occasionaly you can ask for advice, no harm done there, but the minute you start looking to satisfy writers by giving them what they ask for, your story loses all its originality. I write my stories according to what I think, not what the readers think, and if they like it in the end, great, if not, that's cool too, but at least it was my story.

Topic Withholding sex from your partner
Posted 02 Jul 2010 22:09

the day you withold sex from your partner, is the day your relationship does downhill. you can still be mad and get some, just focus the fustration on something else, like sleeping on the couch, special treatment, or no dinner. no sex hurts both people.
