I realized I hadn't checked this and I'm just blown away by all the love! Thank you everyone who took a moment from your busy lives to wish me a happy birthday. The pictures, the comments, they all made me smile. Even two of my students surprised me, one with a rose and candy and the other one gave me a balloon and a teddy bear.

I feel so loved by so many of you. Some of you I know well, some of you I know from your writings, and some are my fellow mods. You are all wonderful people who have touched my heart and made me feel like a queen. Thank you all for thinking of me. Thank you all for reminding me what a wonderful site Lush is, and how lucky I am to be a member and a Moderator.

Mostly... I wish to say...

This thread was more than anyone could ask for... and it answered the age old question I always had... what would it feel like for someone to do that for me... and ya know what... it feels fucking amazing!!!

Thank you everyone! You have all spoiled me so much!

Topic How effective is story spamming to friends?
Posted 26 Oct 2014 18:15

I've done it twice. Once for a contest entry, and the other for a co-written piece that I knew most of my friends didn't follow the other author who posted the story, but that's it. I know some of my friends do it and it's fine. I don't know if it helps or not, but for those who do it, it's their choice. If I've already read it, I email them back & tell them. read2

Fucking "for profit" colleges! You nearly screwed my son! At least he's got is diploma, but did you mother-fuckers have to cancel his graduation ceremony and not tell us?!? And just how is he to get his transcripts so he can continue his education or get a job? Oh yeah... where is the so-called job placement you promised?!? Half of the jobs you sent him he wasn't qualified for due to an assortment of reasons.

Topic Please do not contact us about "low" votes on your stories / poems
Posted 12 Oct 2014 18:13

Twice I've had someone give two different stories a 1 and I was upset by this... not because they felt it was only worthy of a 1, but because they didn't have the courage to tell me why. Actually, that's not entirely true. I did contact the two that did this, one said it was an error and asked if they could change it... which now thanks to Gav and is wonderful skills, is doable. The other person, was trashing several stories in a particular category.

It would be nice if someone would either leave a comment or send me a PM if they don't like something I wrote and tell me why (poor writing skills, lousy plot line, etc.)

I don't expect all 5s. I'm honored when I get a lot of them, but I don't let the scores bring me down. I write what I like... and luckily for me... others like what I write as well.

The mortgage company who currently holds the mortgage on the house I own is fucking stupid. In May my account was reassessed and because of something I arranged and forgot about (I'll own this part) my payment went up over $200 a month. Yet, they failed to notify me (best guess, it got lost in the mail) that my payment would go up in July. I had my payments on an automatic payment so I wouldn't be late (I thought it was smart) and thus, didn't look at my statements (again, my fault) and was short on my July & August payment. Now, do they call me in July or August to tell me I'm short (now almost $500) NO! They send me a registered letter.

And why didn't they call? Because in November 2013, they were calling, harassing about my "late-payment" that was 2 days not late as I had until the 16th of the month, and they could see by my record I make the payment between the 10th and 12th. When I told them they couldn't get paid before the 10th due to when I get paid, and asked they not call unless it's AFTER the 16th, they agreed, and put me on a "Do Not Call" list. IDIOTS!!!

I call in a panic and a fury to get this resolved. I agree (though I'm not happy about it) to pay the almost $500 shortage. BUT, I tell them it will take me a few days to get the money from a savings account that takes 2 days to transfer the money. I was told as long as I clear it by Aug 31, it would be fine. Still not happy, I do what I must and send the money with just over a week to spare in the exact same method I send my monthly payment, though my bank's on-line bill pay service.)

At the end of August, I discover to my horror that my payment has been returned! WTF?!? I call back even more panic stricken to find out why. Now, I had asked they help with the higher payment as it was more than my budget could handle, and they did. They also refunded the two months of late fees (not upset about this in the least mind you) and now my "shortage" was just under $400 (not upset in the least about this either.) I send them the new lower payment just as I had before, though my bank's on-line bill pay service (because I'm not paying an extra $10 to use their website.)

Three days before my regular monthly mortgage payment is sent, they send me back the 2nd payment (the almost $400 to get my account current.) WTF?!? I'm tired of wasting my time calling them. So, I send an email that takes multiple tries demanding they credit me the shortage. They claim I'll hear back in 5 business days, I don't hear back for two full weeks. They send me a big envelope to my home saying they have NO RECORD of my so called refunds.

After I peeled myself off the roof from hitting it so hard... I sent them yet another email with a pdf of my bank statement showing them the three payments and the two refunds. I still have yet to hear from them, but I will continue to make my regular payments because I'll be damned to have this POS company steal my house that I'm not renting because I've had to move for a job opportunity. I am in the process of trying to refinance it to get it away from these idiots once and for all. They weren't the company I started with, but the one my mortgage was sold to. I would tell anyone I know who has this company to get away from them ASAP.

I even filed a complaint with the BBB (Better Business Bureau) for all the good it's done me. I hate how banks can sell your mortgage and it's a crap shoot on who you get. I got a crappy company with piss poor customer service.

Topic Nails-colour and comments?
Posted 04 Oct 2014 22:02

Because I'm a manicure killer, I've gone to the gel polish. It lasts me 2-3 weeks without chipping and unlike acrylic nails, I can still wear my contacts. As far as color goes, I tend to go with a "professional" looking color. Currently it's a mauve like color. I might go a bit more pink or purple (those two colors look really good on me) and in the summer, I'll get a bit crazier with my color choices. I will say my female students have noticed and asked. I find the nail polish give me a bit more of a professional look and I don't mind paying the extra cost because it will last longer than an hour or two (not a joke, I really have ruined a manicure that fast.)

Topic Make up...why?
Posted 04 Oct 2014 21:56

This year is the first time I've worn make-up on a regular basis. And by that I mean eye shadow and mascara. I don't usually wear make-up, but as I'm not working as a middle school teacher this year, I want to show my girls you don't need to wear 50 lbs of make-up to be pretty. I don't like to wear much more as it's more of a hassle than it's worth.

Now, if I'm going out on a "date night" with my hubby... I'll go all out. Can't do the eyeliner as it causes a reaction (why I have no idea) but I will do the rest.

Truthfully, my hubby doesn't care if I wear make-up or not... he knows I do it for me to feel pretty, but he feels I'm beautiful as is.

Topic Suggestion to create an Account Credibility system

I don't understand this issue. I find Lush to be a very friendly environment. I've had a few people who didn't like my stories. Hell sometimes I don't like them either. If you really want crazy try Literotica. Two days ago I got an email that said, "I hope you and your wife die and your children grow up as orphans. Now that's negative feedback.

Must have been the same asshole who sent me two harassing emails with bogus emails as in "" or "" telling me I couldn't write or take criticism and that I needed to drop dead. Or something like that... I deleted the emails after I reported them to Literotica... and for the record... they did NOTHING about it.

At least if I got that kind of hate mail here, Lush would at least address it & take it seriously.

Topic Suggestion to create an Account Credibility system
Posted 21 Sep 2014 20:19

How about requiring fingerprints, DNA, an anal probe, an NSA background check, and a letter of authenticity from Interpol? And toss in your credit score.

This made me laugh... thanks for that Buz.

Every member here has joined for his or her own reason. I joined because a fellow author (who has since left for his own reasons) joined and liked the way this site was. I started posting my stories, made some great friends, and read some great stories, and some that weren't quite my cup of tea.

Trolls are on every story site. That's a given. You can't escape them. But, IMHO, Lush does more to keep the trolls out of this site than any other story site I've had any experience with. The members here are mostly friendly, but everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion. This is why we have so many wonderful and kinky categories. There is something for everyone.

Topic Swallowing.. any hints

For me, I swallow it as quickly as possible. My husband enjoys it except the tickle he gets after he cums that my lips & tongue irritate. Knowing when it's going to happen helps a lot.

Topic prefer fiction or retelling what actually happened?
Posted 31 Aug 2014 12:22

I have taken real-life event and morphed them into a fictional tale. An example of this for me is my story How I Got My Job , where the character meets a man for an interview at what turns out to be a Starbucks kiosk in a grocery story. Now, I really had an interview at a Starbucks kiosk in a grocery store, but that's were the reality ends. What happens in the story (the lunch at Applebees and events that follow) were all fictional.

Real life can be a great launching point for fiction. I know someone once said to write what you know, but maybe what they meant was, use what you know and add to it with your vivid imagination. I do think all authors use elements of what they know, they embellish or enhance it to make the story better & more interesting.

I mean... I don't think Edgar Allan Poe ever murdered anyone (at least... I'd like to hope not.)
