Topic What would you do if you found out your husband or boyfriend had sex with other men, Honest answers please Ladies....
Posted 29 Jul 2015 16:35

What he did before we became a couple is no a big deal. If my husband had chose to be with a man, that was his choice then. Now... if he wants to do it now... we'd need to have a long talk.

Topic does anyone here have a favorite musical?
Posted 29 Jul 2015 16:26

-Dirty Dancing
-The Music Man
-Hello Dolly

Stage Productions:
-Wicked (I've seen it 3 times)
-Cinderella (the Broadway version)
-Dirty Dancing (The Stage Version)
-La Cage Aux Folles (the version I saw was a musical)

For my anniversary... my husband got me season tickets to the Broadway series that's coming though so I will enjoy 7 more plays & musicals. I may be adding to this list in no time.

Topic Is there another story category you'd like to have on Lush?

Could there be a nerds category, devoted to nerds having sex? I know a few people who might be interested.

Last night I caught a show called, "Nerd That Drink" and then today I read this. All I could think was this could be a fun category that could including groups, role-playing, and much more.

Topic Steak
Posted 28 Jul 2015 15:49

I was raised to eat steak medium or medium rare. Then once by chance I had it rare & loved it. If it's not pink... it's shoe leather (please know... this is just my opinion.) I'm just lucky my husband likes his steaks the same way. eat

Topic Do you prefer Red or White wine??
Posted 28 Jul 2015 15:45

Drinking... white. Especially moscato. Except for roscato. It's the only red I've found I enjoyed drinking.

Cooking... red... better flavor for the meat.

We call it "Alcoholic Turkey" Pour Wine (no disrespect to anyone who had struggled with alcoholism) with "Boozy Gravy"

My husband makes it around Thanksgiving and/or Christmas santa ... or any time we can find a turkey on sale.

He starts by skinning the bird (this is not a requirement, but we like it this way), then stuffs it (after removing the neck and gizzard) with stuffing (any brand will work). He puts the bird into a large oven-cooking bag, breast side down and fills the bag with two bottles of red wine (we have found Shiraz works best... but this is our opinion & we buy the cheapest wine we can find.) The bird cooks for about 4-6 hours (really depends on size and other factors). The juices and leftover wine is then made into a sinful gravy that we'll freeze (the leftovers that is) and use later. The cooked meat will actually be a shade of pink from the wine and have an amazing flavor.

We have shared this with family & friends. Even my finicky son who doesn't care for turkey loves this. The house smells so good we joke about getting a contact high. The best part, we can tell when a chef in a restaurant uses wine in their gravy... we can smell it.

As THIS thread too has been hijacked and pulled WAY off topic by this very same individual, could someone, anyone explain to me WHY the members of this site are (myself included) PAYING for the "privilege" of repeatedly having to tolerate trolling, insults, harassment and utterly NEEDLESS annoyance perpetrated by this ONE SINGLE INDIVIDUAL OVER AND OVER AND OVER again? dontknow I am MORE than sure that there isn't so much as ONE individual here who would classify that as being "FUN" or "ENJOYABLE!"

I couldn't agree more. Now... as to the topic of the thread...

It's just my opinion that too many categories would become confusing and burdensome.

So at what point does it become enough? Since I've joined I've seen one category leave and several added (including Flash Erotica & Office Sex for two such examples). I get too many categories becomes overwhelming... but when is it enough?

Maybe you're right Buz... maybe we've got enough categories already. However, if the powers that be feel we need a new category... then we shall enjoy a new category.

Breaking Up Is Hard On You

Topic The Age of Distraction

Both of these quotes address a problem I run into a lot with my students. They see or read something on the internet and believe it without question and when you try to prove to them it was a hoax, spoof, parody, or just false information, they fight you tooth & nail. I ran into this with a research report I was having the kids do. I would tell them to show me the site/source of the information and of course they couldn't (usually because they saw it in passing and don't remember where they found it at.)

I won't even get into my family members who fall victim to this shit... that's a vicious cycle that will never end.

I feel I must add to this since my intent was lost. The reason I would ask my student to show me where they found the so-called information was to help teach them why such information is (or could be) faulty or heavily biased. I used these as teaching moments, though some might think otherwise.

Also, I wish to go on record that I never called my students dumb, or anything of the sort. Kids want to trust and believe in things. If a child's parent thinks the sky is orange (a crazy example, but stay with me) and teaches their child this, it is much harder for a teacher to change the child's opinion or belief. This silly example is an analogy for things like racism, techno-phobia (which some parents do suffer from), and so-on. I'm not saying parents can't share with their children their beliefs (religion for example), but when a teacher is blamed for what a child believes even though the teacher tries to teach them otherwise is unfair.

One thing I work hard to teach my students is there is nothing wrong with accepting another person's beliefs... even if it means to agree to disagree. Sometimes, that's the only thing you can do to reach a peaceful middle ground.
