my name is cynthia and I've never written any kind of fiction. My majors in school were biology and history, i went 2 years to law school. That was about 35 years ago. I'm newly-retired, but was in Info Technology for the last 30 years. I have 3 grown children and one husband. One of my favorite hobbies is landscaping and gardening, though I don't do as much heavy lifting as I used to. I'm very goal-oriented, there's an upside and a downside to that personality trait. Let's see, I love to talk about politics, general science and sex.

Interests
landscaping, gardening, current affairs, general science news. I'm a fan of "Breaking Bad" and "Hung" on cable TV, other than that, generally see movies. Reading is a favorite hobby. Just standing and staring and thinking is also a favorite hobby, though hard to find time for.

Favorite Books
Best book I ever read? Kristin Lavransdatter by Sigrid Undset. Also great: the Red and the Black, by Stendahl. War and Peace was, I admit, very good, even though Tolstoy was somewhat misogynistic. All of Ross MacDonald's murder mysteries.

Favorite Authors
I don't have any right now. Strange to think that I read so many wonderful books all my life, only to have reached a point at 62 of not being interested in novels any more. So, I read science and news magazines. That helps, but I feel sadly under-read.

Favorite Movies
Casablanca. No Country for Old Men.

Favorite Music
classical, but some rock is great. Vivaldi, Scarlotti, Bach, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, the Beatles, the Eagles.
