I look at what most people my age are wearing and sometimes it makes me wonder what is wrong with my generation.

Topic Your Politics: Summed Up
Posted 06 Sep 2010 08:31

Oh, and I think it’s a travesty that religion has seeped into politics – keep them separate. We should not be basing our laws on religious dogma – just because someone believes that abortion, for example, is against God’s will, doesn’t mean that applies to someone of a different faith. I want my laws to be based on what is best for this country and the individuals in it, not on some obscure verse in a bible/quoran/whatever written millenia ago.

that's it, for now! :)

I just had an epiphany regarding religious dogma being incorporated into law. Form here on out - I'm all for it. Yep. You heard me right. I'm actually FOR religion and religious sects playing a part in writing statutory law. If Catholics want to outlaw abortions, then BAM! Abortions are against the law... for Catholics. Everyone gets a card denoting which set of religious rules they choose to live by. If a cute little Catholic girl gets knocked up and goes to a OB/Gyn's office, the first thign they'll do is ask to see her Party Identification card. Once they see where it says "Catholic" up top... nope. No abortion for Bunny.

Same thing would apply to Baptists that want to go to a dance club, or Jews that want to go to Disney World during Mickey's Magical Christmas Celebration. My card would say "non-sectarian" on it, though I may just switch to Pagan. I bet they would have some really wild holiday parties...

In Malaysia everyone has their religion printed on their Identity card. A friend of mine is from a muslim family and chooses not to practice. It is Ramadan right now and he is not fasting. We went out for lunch the other day and the waiter asked to see his ID card then would not serve him because he is muslim.

Also if you are muslim, it is illegal to marry someone from another religion - they must convert to Islam. However if a hindu wants to marry a jew here, that is fine.

Just a couple of examples how the law differs here for different religions.

When I went to file a police report they asked me what my religion was and when I said Atheist they said there wasn't an option to put that on the form I could choose from Hindu, Sikh, Jewish, Muslim, Christian or Buddhist...

Topic Post Secondary Education
Posted 05 Sep 2010 05:49

Uck University!

I am right in the middle of all of that for the third time in a row. During my senior year I did my SATs and got a 2200, which allowed me to get into all of the schools I applied to in the US. However I had no interest in going to the US. Money was the major issue, but there were other reasons. So I decided to take a gap year and in September last year I applied to study Physiology and accepted a place in Glasgow in Sep 2010. I only chose that subjected because I was forced to choose something and was thinking it was something that interested me. Then I realised that it didn't and I called and said they should give my place to someone else. So now it's September again and I am thinking about applying again, and if I end up going this year is a good year to go, but I still have no idea what I want to study if anything.

Finance is a big consideration when thinking about school, it makes it hard to go abroad. In England school fees are heavily subsidised and uni fees are even lower in Scotland (free if you are a scottish citizen I believe). And you can get pretty good plans to help with school fees if you can not afford them, but like Jebru said there are other costs to think of. But lower school fees mean that I will have lower loans and I would hopefully have a job to cover living expenses. There is a lot of talk in the Uk about how much harder it is to get into school, because of the economy - more people are applying. I have been told it may be better for me to apply as an international student (I hold both a UK and a US passport), because I will have a higher chance of getting in, but tuition will be much much much higher.

I definitely think secondary education for those who wish to go should be subsidized by the government. Long as you get the grades and work hard there shouldn't be anything else that prevents a person from getting an education. However, I also think that a university degree shouldn't have anything to do with status. I like to think I am some what intelligent and have gotten the grades to get into most universities that I could apply to, and if I choose not to go none of that would change. Someone shouldn't be considered "better" than me just because they have a degree.

I do understand that jobs may be a bit more limited without a degree. That's okay, there are other things I want to do, where I know I don't need a degree. I just got my dive master and am thinking about becoming an instructor when I can save up the money. I still will do some studying to get certified to do what I want to do (there is quite a bit of physics and physiology), why would a philosophy major be any "better" than me?

Sorry if I went a little off topic there.

In Kuala Lumpur I met a couple people who were trafficking people from Palestine into Malaysia. It's a horrible thing to know that is going on, and be absolutely powerless to do anything about it. Police were tipped off, but I think in the end nothing happened.

I'd have a much bigger problem if he showed the sex tape to friends or family then if it made it on the net. Most likely it would get lost in cyber space and a few people may see it, but it's unlikely anyone I knew would.

Topic Been filmed during the old in-out, in-out?
Posted 03 Sep 2010 00:18

I have filmed videos with a couple of different men, who at time I trusted completely, one of which I was in love with. Then things turned bad and I realised I shouldn't have trusted. One of them put a video up on the internet, but I managed to get it removed by the site, because I was under 18. Another one filmed us almost every time we had sex, or I gave him a blow job. We were together for a year and a half, so the videos really stacked up. When we broke up, I didn't like him having all of them, but he would not delete them. I can't say I was that upset when is computer died, but I am pretty sure he still has a couple. He had a lot of hang ups about our relationship (He was 11 years older and indian, I am white), so I trust him not to post it or show it to anyone purely because he was too embarassed by me. I have learnt my lesson and won't let anybody film anything.

It was sort of turn on, so maybe if we filmed it, watched it together and deleted it.

Topic Internet Dating
Posted 02 Sep 2010 22:19

Both of my parents have met partners from online. My dad chatted to someone with months before going to Russia for a month to meet her. They both came back to England and their relationship lasted over a year. I was pretty young so don't remember what eventually went wrong.

My mum met her current husband off the internet, but I don't think they chatted before they met (some sort of match making thing?). I wasn't really told the details. They started dating six years ago, and have been married for three. I think their relationship is one that will last.

I saw a couple of bugs in my noodles the other day and just flicked them out and kept eating. Just protein. But I am a vegetarian so thought I would let the little critters live.

Those are actually part of the ingredients Rx, you're in Thailand aren't you? laughing6

Yes only for a few days. Have to fly back to the UK in a week. crybaby

When I was in Bangkok I did try scorpion and crickets. Crispy and unexciting.

Topic Are you a screamer?
Posted 30 Aug 2010 22:49

Under the right circumstances, usually involving a little bit of pain and/or somebody slightly bigger than normal, then I can be a screamer. More often than not, and when I'm not cumming, I'm a loud breather/moaner.

me too. I get a bit embarrassed by how loud I can be at times, especially if my partner isn't making any noise.

Topic I thought "Avatar" was silly and teenage, am I the only one?
Posted 30 Aug 2010 22:45

I saw Avatar when it first came out. I was really disappointed by it. There was a big hype and it definitely didn't live up to my expectations. The story line is pretty predictable and has been done a hundred times before in both movies and books. I am into Sci fi/fantasy books and I can think of a few that have similar plot lines.

A few days ago I went to the see the special edition version. I really didn't see much difference then the original, but I was able to enjoy it more the second time round. I didn't expect anything of the plot. I really like the plants in it though. The trees are awesome to look at (I have a bit of a thing for trees).

6. What sound or noise do you hate? there is a particular breed of people in the UK called chavs and they have a particular dialect which makes my brain ache
pronouncing words i.e. thick as fick

I wondered about this. There was a so called "chef" on tv recently called Jamie Oliver and he talks that way. Think=fink? Right? Made my head hurt too.

Jamie Oliver isn't a chav though, but yeah his accent can be a little annoying at times.

What is a chav?

Topic Condoms
Posted 25 Aug 2010 20:01

My friend was telling me a story the other day about how he hooked up with a really hot girl. I am pretty sure there was some alcohol involved. He went to grab a condom, but she said "No, it's okay. I am on the pill." So he hoisted her up onto the kitchen counter and started fucking her. As he began to cum, she shouted "Be my baby daddy" and wrapped her legs around him so tightly that he wasn't able to pull out of her.

Turns out she wasn't on the pill

Topic Can you explain your sexual preferences/fetishes?
Posted 18 Aug 2010 09:20

I often wonder why I like extreme rough sex when I have such an abusive past. At first I felt bad when ever I would engage in rough sex, then I realised that I like it, so I should enjoy it. I still wonder what draws me to sex when it goes to the extreme, but it only matters that I do, not why.

why would you like rough sex? and I don't mean to disrespect
but it seems like the woman always gets hurt :\
I hate to see girls mistreated :\

It's not as though the girl is mistreated, there is a lot of respect involved in rough sex with someone you trust.

Topic Escorts
Posted 18 Aug 2010 09:18

I have never dated an escort, but was sort of one myself. I worked at a fetish club. The boyfriend was my boss. He knew everything about what I did. It was never much of a problem, because we had amazing sex - often involving me telling him what I did with clients. Then again, we only dated for 5 weeks since he was pretty emotionally unstable.
