Topic When a man begins to lack interest
Posted 23 Mar 2015 11:39

Starting a conversation about family or work stuff while naked is a sure turn off (yes, I speak from experience). Sex time should be about the sex, set aside other time for those conversations.

As others suggest, letting things get into a rut (kiss, caress, rub, hump, bang, rinse and repeat a few days later) is another thing that can cause a loss of interest.

Letting yourself go. I'm not saying you always have to be a perfect supermodel beauty (in fact, that's not what I'd want, either), but letting yourself go to the point where it is obvious that you just aren't giving a damn about being attractive anymore is a turn off.

Interesting that I'm still getting responses on this thread when the story has been up for almost 3 months ("The Pastor's Secret", link in my sig).

That said, Superman has superpowers that are much more powerful than the Force and Batman was able to kick his ass a few times. The thing is, Batman is one clever motherfucker and he probably could have the upper hand with some prior preparation, for example by studying his enemy's weaknesses and coming up with a plan of attack.

Oh, true, but most of those times he also had the "power of plot" on his side which happens a lot in comics. The winner is the one that the plot dictates should win.

You see this in superhero power scaling a lot. You can have the Hulk barely beating Cap in one storyline and then have him one shotting Galactus in the next.

Topic How often do you and your partner / sig. other have sex?
Posted 20 Mar 2015 14:10

Sigh. Both virgins again to all intents and purposes, though with my birthday looming, I'll try to bump it up to Birthday and Anniversary Sex. I could really go for 2-3 times a weeks or even just weekly but life and personalities keep in the getting in the way.

Topic What Are Some of The BEST Songs heard in a movie you saw?
Posted 20 Mar 2015 13:56

One Year of Love - Queen - Highlander

Almost any Queen song from that movie qualifies. The soundtrack was better than the movie IMHO.

"Storybook Love" by Willy DeVille and Mark Knopfler from The Princess Bride.

Topic If you could have one singer come to your house, who would it be?
Posted 20 Mar 2015 12:07

I have many possible answers to this question, but at this moment, I'm thinking Joni Mitchell. Most of her music works just fine with a voice and a guitar so perfect for a house concert.

And she can sing whatever she likes. I can't think of a truly bad Joni Mitchell song.

Without watching, I'll pick Vader, though Bruce would give him a run for his money to be sure. The Force would likely give Vader enough of an edge over the utility belt.

Topic Eating Pussy
Posted 20 Mar 2015 11:56

There something wonderfully sensual and intimate about tasting and orally exploring another person's body, whether it's eating pussy or sucking dick. As mark5874 says, "I enjoy it". As long as my partner also enjoys it, I'm happy to do it.

Topic What is your specific reason(s) for not visiting the Chat Rooms ?

Topic Sex With An Escort
Posted 17 Mar 2015 18:44

I used to see a lady semi-regularly. Unlike Saintz experience, this escort was a pleasure to be with, both personally and sexually. Great at massages in particular and okay with just lying in bed naked and chatting when my premature erection brought things to an early close (ie. if you paid for an hour of companionship, you got it). I've tried a few others since she quit (she was working in the trade while going to school and found work in her field) but haven't found any I like as much though some of them have been both gorgeous and good in the sack. Going rate where I am averages c. $200 Canadian for an hour, but there's a fair bit of range in that (from $150 up to $300 for a very good, high class escort, of which I think my city has exactly one). I did not really get too kinky with the escorts I have seen. Just having fun sex with a friendly naked woman has been enough for me.

Topic guys do you like to be called daddy by a girl during sex or general or both
Posted 13 Mar 2015 13:04

I'm not calling anyone liar, but many people would deny it, even if they were okay with it. Given what SO many people assume it is associated with. It has NOTHING to do with incest or being a pedophile.

It plays a large part in BDSM, as a Master or Dom who has a softer approach. Though a lot of woman who use it aren't into that lifestyle, but like the term, because they get a comfort from their partner they'd not get from anyone else. It is a loving, tender pet name.

Fair enough. I was not judging those who like it with my remarks. But it still does not appeal to me. I am a father (albeit of a son, not a daughter) and being called "Daddy" just carries too much other baggage for me to find it especially sexually stimulating.

Yet it is perfectly okay to call a woman a whore, or slut or what have you, while fucking her.

Actually, I doubt I'd do that either. Even if the woman I was with was, technically, a "whore".

Topic Sex and Scentsuality
Posted 13 Mar 2015 12:58

Same rule as with scents any other time. Little to none. I have a rather sensitive olfactory system and even a moderately strong scent can bother me. Now, something fairly mild like the almond and vanilla you mention might not be a problem. I'd have to have a sniff.

Topic Rest In Peace - Terry Pratchett
Posted 12 Mar 2015 11:18

I did not read a lot of Pratchett but loved what I did read (esp. Good Omens, his collaboration with Neil Gaiman). A serious loss to fiction, not just the comic fantasy that was his trademark genre.

Topic Being Gay a Choice?
Posted 11 Mar 2015 08:46

No apologies needed, Derek. I hear the same thing from folks on other sites, too (esp. transgendered persons, who are lot further from general acceptance than gay and lesbian persons here in Canada). And the problem is not just the "fundies" who deliberately target people who are not cisgendered and straight but also well-meaning mainstream people who just don't "get it". We had a long thread on my other board where a transgendered member answered questions from other members over a period of months (it's still technically open but has died down) and I think she opened a lot of eyes (even mine, and I'm LGBTQ-friendly).

Things like this are why frats largely died out/were killed off in Canada back when I was in uni in the 80s. They have made a bit of a comeback but are very tightly regulated and policed by the universities.

Topic HELP!!! Before I submit
Posted 10 Mar 2015 10:18

Buz is right. Some copyright holders are cool with fanfic (The Trekkies pretty much invented it and Paramount has learned to with it. So has George Lucas), others are not (e.g. J.K. Rowling), and we don't have the time to figure out which is which. There are plenty of sites that accept fanfic including some dedicated to it.

Topic What is Your Favorite Sexual Act
Posted 09 Mar 2015 11:06

Actually having sex (which has eluded me for some time for a variety of reason).

However, you wanted a specific act, so I'd say intercourse in either missionary or cowgirl (but that could change with the day, the woman, and the Bank of Canada prime lending rate).

Topic Your best friends wife
Posted 09 Mar 2015 11:04

Like others, I'd probably just say "no". I have, on occasion, found friends' partners attractive but never let that thought go too far.

(But, if they had an open relationship and I knew it and I knew the friend was cool with me being a part of it ... it goes from a "no" to a "maybe" depending on the friend, the wife, and the circumstances)

Topic Celibacy In Religion.
Posted 06 Mar 2015 12:06

I know in Eastern traditions, esp. Buddhism, it is more about controlling desire and attachment; removing things that could distract one's attention. It isn't so much that sex itself is bad or evil as it is a need/desire to limit attachments that may distract from the path to Enlightenment. Christianity has been well-covered by some of the other posters.

Religious celibacy is not, to my mind, either a good or bad thing; as long as it is voluntary and has a purpose other than "sex is evil", I have no issue with it but do not plan to practice it either. Sacred sex (the use of sex in religious practice/ritual so kind of the opposite) likewise though I'd be more likely to practice it. My own personal belief is that sex is a normal, natural part of existence and should be celebrated in our spirituality, not avoided.
