Topic Favourite TV show theme song
Posted 10 Aug 2017 07:13

Star Trek (both original and Next Generation; Deep Space Nine wasn't bad, either)
Doctor Who, though it's hard to say which version. It got tweaked pretty regularly even during the original 1963-1990 run (listen to a Pertwee opening versus a Davison opening, for instance)
Peter Gunn (never seen the show but I know the theme from various sources)

1) Move or early retirement, most likely. Perhaps if I seriously fuck up. The company is very successful and growing so no risk on that front and I'm well ensconced so can't see them letting me go unless I seriously fuck up.

2) Writing perhaps. My wife has talked about teaching in China when we're both retired so maybe that (she's Chinese and has connections).

Mix of things, really. Sex ed book my parents gave me, school sex ed, dirty talk among friends, reading porn (printed on real paper, even!).

Did you ever do something sexual with a partner that you had never heard of before they suggested it?

Topic Guilty or Innocent.

Not much of a swimmer to start with, so Guilty. Swimming in the sea scares me (not sharks or anything, just waves, undertows, etc.)

You've introduced a sexual/romantic partner to porn.

Tits have nothing to do with presidents and their offspring.

Well, unless Ivanka does a nude spread. Regaeman Man

Right now, it seems that Dad is generating sufficient sturm und drang that the kids are kind of off the radar. It sounds like son-in-law Jared may get sucked into the Russia scandal but otherwise things are fairly quiet on the Trump family front.

Random thought: Any Rumplators who've read the rest of the Curt/Julia stories (see signature for the complete list) want to take a sneak peak at the new one so you can let me know what you think? No editing work needed (though I'll happily accept any corrections or suggestions), just a reaction to the story as it stands and an answer to the question "Does it need an ending beyond what is there now?" It's long (8800ish words) so it might be best sent in an email rather than the local private messaging but whatever you like.

Morning, Seeker. You got dem 'Can't figure out how to end this sucker' blues, and it seems like you got it bad. :(

I'm starting to think I don't need to end it. Well, more accurately, that I can just end where it is. For some reason, though, it doesn't feel like an ending to me and, yet, any other ending I put on it seems tacked on. Maybe I'll just submit it as is and take my lumps if others think that doesn't work. I'm not happy about doing it that way but it's what the story seems to want. And what the story wants...

Innocent. Very. My wife (then my girlfriend) and I tried nine holes once with a couple of my buddies and, no, not for us.

You'd rather be out hiking or camping in the outdoors than relaxing on a beach for your vacations.

As someone who frequently debates leaving Lush (and probably would were it not for being a writer as well as forum poster), I can only say that this is one of the funnest (is that a word) forums I have been on, even leaving aside the writing aspect. Outside of Think Tank, I find that there really aren't too many serious shitstorms on here like I see elsewhere. I love dropping in here when my other regular forum gets too crazy because I know I can enjoy some forum games, sexy talk, and a beer at Rump's. I've contemplated leaving that forum for here, too, but can't since I can't be open about my involvement here for various reasons.

So, if you feel you need to go, I'd say go and see how it feels to be away for a while. But it might not hurt to keep your account live (or just deactivate instead of deleting) just in case you need a fix of sex, joy, and sanity from time to time. I've tried leaving and always seem to end up back.

How to end a story? No fucking idea, else I'd have a new one up. Coffee, please. Large Double Double (which in Canada means a large coffee with two cream and two sugar at Tim Horton's but in Rump's it means hold the cream and sugar and give me four times the BBB).

Irish coffee, mate. Made with Bertha's finest, of course. Had a vision for a new writing project but it shall be over on the blue site if it comes to pass, though I might slip some side stories on to Lush. It's good old space opera s-f, kind of Battlestar Galactica meets Firefly with a bit of Star Wars on the side. That is as much as I shall say until I see if things start to happening. First, a (hopefully) final pass on my latest erotic opus and to see if maybe it is ready to slip into the queue.

Now I just need time to actually write whole books. Considering how long it is taking me just to get an 8800-ish word short story out, the heat death of the universe would probably come before my first whole book.

A couple fingers of whiskey, Rump. Neat.

Topic Euthanasia
Posted 04 Aug 2017 13:50

We now have legal medically assisted suicide in Canada. Requires that the patient be able to consent (ie. if you're so far gone that your Power of Attorney is in charge, it can't happen), have the approval of two doctors, and a condition that is clearly terminal and causing unbearable suffering. Some other conditions, too, IIRC.

I support the legislation in principle but it probably needs some tweaking.

As for passive measures like turning off life support and not taking heroic measures to preserve life, we've had that for a long time and DNR orders are common in hospital and longterm care.

Beer me, buddy. So close to submitting my latest opus, I can almost taste it, but I think I'll let it lie fallow for a day or two and then give it another pass. That usually results in finding some obvious f-ups. And once or twice has resulted in deleted stories (basically, re-read the story and go "What the f were you thinking, man?"Regaeman Man )

Topic The "Runaway Bride" Duology
Posted 04 Aug 2017 06:57

And I'm drawing close (just editing and proofing now) on a new story about Julia, the bride who awakened. Basically, it's her parallel story to Curt's adventures in Model Client 1 & 2. She has an erotic adventure with a married couple and explores some more firsts. Three sex scenes (four if you count the opening). It's taken a long time to get this one out but I hope to have it ready as early as the the beginning of next week.

Meantime, if you have perused the existing stories about Curt and Julia, see my signature, which now has them all in sequence.

Use the same name there as here (probably shouldn't but I signed up there years ago mostly to check it out and didn't think at the time I'd be a writer there). Only one story there right now but if I can ever get my mind from thinking about sex (fat chance on that, eh) I might start publishing more there.
