Sous le charme

I could make a poem,
But words aren’t enough.
To describe your beauty, baby,
I’d need a lot of stuff.

Finest dark brown chocolates,
For your lovely eyes.
Though it barely does them justice,
To have me satisfied.

Hair as black as raven’s wing,
On your winsome head.
It wreaks havoc on my imagination,
Especially when I’m in bed.

That smile of yours, though,
Is perfection personified.
I would stare at it all day if I could,
Struck dumb and mystified.

So you see, baby,
The power you have on me.
This spell you cast will no doubt last,
Until you set me free.

But I beg you not to do that,
For it’d be the end.
Of my wildest dreams of you and me;
I would never mend.
