Apollo sat on high 

Singing his song

Of lovers.

Under his golden sun

His humans played,

Moving about 

As his chess pieces 

Humoring the Gods.

As the mist cleared 

Apollo's next two 

Soon-to-be lovers

Met over dinner. 

As the gift of the Gods 

Sweet wine was poured.

Looking into each other's eyes 

Holding hands,

Apollo sent 

Lightning bolts

Into their young hearts

Filling them with 

Love. 

Apollo smiled

Sipping his wine
