101 Words: Missing You

101 Words: Missing You

Fading promises,

A dying rose,

Clouded silhouettes’,

Of grieving woes.

Distant memories.

Love and laughter.

Sorrow drowning,

Of ever after.

Passionate skins,

An addictive heat,

A wanting heart.

A darkened beat.

The touch of silk,

Frayed and rough,

Unfilled arms,

So raw and tough.

The scent of you,

So close to me,

The empty space,

Of love so free.

Silence deafening,

Once lust-fuelled words,

The empty sound

Of the humming birds.

Their song to share,

To fuel our love,

Your presence is here,

An angel above.

Whispered smiles,

And watchful eyes,

Bathes around,

From cotton skies.
