Inspired by two of my great passions
They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder
I beg to disagree
Beauty comes from within
It is there for all to see

The things that I find beautiful are so very rare
They seem so real to me
What draws me so to them?
They exist so naturally

Beauty can be found in people and the natural world
Soleil, mountains, rivers
They bring my heart such peace
And I know my heart is hers

What is beauty then if each of these can be a source?
Soleil and wilderness
So very different things
But each, touch me as a kiss

What then is the thing she possesses that makes her so?
A natural beauty
So very real and true
What you get is what you see

Soleil does not try to be what society wants
She is herself that's all
Saying just what she thinks
'fore she thinks what others think

Doing what she finds new, exciting, fun, and daring
Not hurting anyone
Seeking pleasure without care
Not looking back when it's done

These things that I find beautiful radiate for me
Beauty seen from afar
All coming from within
They exist just as they are

Those that live their lives as they think others want them to
Are like a field of corn
Rows so straight, all alike
So I look at them with scorn

But wilderness and Soleil I look upon with awe
They live so wild and free
Unconstrained by your rules
They both mean the world to me
