I’ll meet you in clouds of darkness
Across a rolling storm
And settle into your embrace,
Lose myself in the breath
Of your glittering voice
Pouring over my skin
Away from blinking lights
Accusing faces
And morality’s thumb
Engulfed in the abyss
Of your aphotic eyes
You capture my spirit
Subdue my virtue
Pull me
Into a hurricane of flesh and limbs
With touches sweet as whispers
And words like lace
You drown me
Wrench desire from my restraint
The night turns electric
Bursting starlight
From a body unshackled,
Sinking on a bolt of lighting
And crashing into fire
Thunder screams into the sky
Oceans and energy part
Shaking leaves from their homes
And nature from its nests
The heavens shatter,
Burning the horizon
Onto our sweltering skin
As aftershocks quake the earth
We have but moments
To whisper,
To touch,
To feel
Before our love turns to liquid
Separating our souls
And raining us down
To places we will never be
