Fairy Tales End

Fairy Tales End

A fairy tale in modern times was this
When we became a twosome on the net.
We started with a simple friendship yet
It grew into a true affair of bliss.

Our hearts were twined without a single kiss
We vowed to always share and not forget
Our love was fine, would never give regret
But I forgot that hearts could go amiss.

You lost yourself in someone else's eyes
Someone you always wished instead of me
So now I spend my time in wasted sighs
Because of all the falsehoods and the lies
That wear me down and let me know I'll be
Without you now forever, 'til love dies.
