From across the room

Tags: poem

From across the room I spy you comfortably leaning against the wall.
Your curvy body is deliciously sculpted.
With only one thing on my mind,
I carefully weave through the crowd like a lion in the savanna.

I find a place adjacent to you.
Your wooden perfume softly brushes my senses.
A symphony of memories and emotions.
Slowly, I begin to lose control.

Compelled, my hand softly slides around your neck.
Carefully lifting you in my arms, I caress your lines.
The anticipation of what is to come is thrilling.
I rest you on my lap.

My heart is pounding like a bass drum in my chest.
Around us, eyes watch fixedly.
I sense their expectation.
My right hand delicately glides over your body.

I take a deep breath.
You gently weep.
