Gypsy Music

How many times have I wanted to do it well
And sinned by talking too much?
Not knowing where, how or when
To be silent, shhhh, not a word

All those steps walking side by side
Don't seem to be so many now,
The shadows know all the love we've vowed
That night you said I was yours and you
Were mine, no matter the day or time

But now it's not the same anymore,
This was not a game or scheme
For I am a woman in the world
Who did everything she could
To be what you craved, yearned

My dance, my sway, my tempo
Was not to your taste, your gusto
My lips did not bring the shudder
The quiver, the warmth you seek

One thing I will say before you leave
Before your turn and never look back
Don't forget even for one second
As the Gypsy music continues to play
You are the one I've loved most in my life
