Laying in their separate beds
in different parts of the country,
they each hug their pillows close
imagining it is each other as they send sweet messages of love.

Both wanting, longing to go back to yesterday
when they were together,
sharing soft passionate kisses
as they held each other in the same bed.

Now they close their eyes
as they drift off to sleep.
They remember each other’s aroma
which brings a smile to their face.

Oh, how they long
to hear the other's voice,
but knowing in their hearts
it’s not possible right now.

They remember the past two weeks
of how wonderful they had been,
and now look to the future
when they can be together once again.
