Lost Among My White Sheets

It still hurts after months apart
I have struggled, Struggled,
To shrug my shoulders
"It doesn't matter"

In the dark of night,
Midnight
I feel the loss
Weep from my heart

Throughout the night
Tossing
And turning, with you
In my dreams

I awaken with wet,
Wet cheeks,
My mystic love was
Just an ephemeral

Lost among my white,
White sheets,
Knowing you care not
For what we lost

One night,
Midnight,
I hope to not waken
With you so close

Waking in morning,
Bright morning light,
Forgetting you
And us

I struggle,
Struggle,
To reclaim that shrug
"It never mattered"
