Many miracles of all sizes surround us
They happen to ordinary people everyday,
We don't realize it when we see them
Each miracle appears in a different way.

It may be the frail old lady in line
Waiting at the local grocery store,
Whose doctors just found a cure
For a disease they never saw before.

Or remember the ragged homeless man,
Who begs for money on the street?
He is newly homeless from massive debt
But his “incurable” cancer somehow he beat.

Did you see the family on the news
Their house was burnt to the ground?
Everything was lost in the fire but
photos of their lost child were somehow found.

Maybe it is the unemployed man
Who helped a stranger stuck on the road side.
The stranger, a business owner, gave him a job
Just for offering a stranded man a ride.

What about twins that were separated at birth
Growing up from each other mere miles away.
They found out the truth when one of the two
Needed a transplant to live another day.

What about true love found despite
Incredible odds stacked against it,
But the two lovers refused to give up
and love blossomed when most would have quit.

I have learned to believe in miracles
I’ve seen them happen in ways big and small,
They cannot be foreseen or predicted
And unfortunately they don't happen for all.

I found my beautiful love at a time of turmoil
I was at my lowest point, my future in jeopardy,
He gave my life color and passion and more
I pray every day for one more miracle for me.
