Morning Breezes

Tags: love
Crisp white sheets caressing our naked bodies.
Your head resting on my chest as I wake.
Your finger traces circles into the hair on my stomach.
I run my fingers through your soft locks.
We sigh in unison. More content than ever.

The sea breeze blows through the open window.
The morning sun sneaks through a small slit in the curtains.
A beam illuminates your warm face.
You look up, smile into my eyes, and nestle back into my chest.

My mind is still full of memories of last night.
Passionate kisses and warm embraces as soon as we got into the room.
Making love in front of the crackling fireplace.
Lounging in the bubbling hot tub, kissing, caressing, fondling.
Making love again until the wee hours when exhaustion won out.

There is nowhere else I'd rather be than with you.
In this moment. At this place in our lives.
Caressing your cheek as it's warmed by the sun.
Wanting time to stand still.
Not wanting the rest of the world to intrude.

I close my eyes after seeing you close yours.
We drift back into our dreamland.
Where nothing can touch what we mean to each other.
