Neverending Kiss

Tags: love poem
Standing with you at the water's edge
Face to face.
Your hands are in mine
Squeezing gently.
The waves are gently lapping at our ankles.
Looking into your angel eyes
Both of us smiling.
Like we know a secret that no one else knows.

The warm breeze is a rhythmic and welcome change
It only took a few hours to get here by plane
But this place seems like a million miles from where we have been.
From the coldest, most bitter days
To this wonderfully warm day today.

We lean into each other and kiss softly and deeply.
Our embrace is as warm as the breeze that caresses us.
Neither of us want this kiss or the passion we share to end.

The sun is high in the sky.
The sea water and spray is a welcome relief
From the hot sand on our bare feet
My hands caress your waist and hips.
I pull your body into mine.

Our kiss deepens.
Not thinking of anything but us and this moment.
No bills.
No phones.
No kids.
Only you and me
Navigating through so much to be here.
Not wanting this kiss to ever end.
