Ocean waves
Born of the wind
Swelling in size
Traveling hundreds, thousands of miles
Living for days, weeks, longer
At last casting upon a coast
Dissolving in spray against a rock
Or painting a portrait upon sand
Their essence never gone
It will exist forever
But in a changed form
As does our love
