Feeling rather empty and wondering why I even try.
When all my passionate efforts just get me a sad goodbye.

Even the ones I know will never go away.
Seem to be disinterested and never want to play.

There always seems to be a new one that comes along.
But then in the end I always sing the same old song.

Wondering why this game isn’t as easy as it should be.
When there are no strings attached what problems could there be?

Maybe it’s that they just cannot take the heat.
That when you’re only online it can never be complete.

All you have is dreams and maybe a fantasy or two.
They all eventually go even the ones you thought you really knew.

Though it’s very real the passion that you both feel.
You must be very careful or it’s your heart that they will steal.

Once in a while you get lucky and find a very special one.
Who remains your friend even when all the fun is done.

Because this whole thing is a new experiment to me.
The friends I’ve made I hope will stay but I’ll have to wait and see.

Such is the way of online long distance relationships.
You better stay relaxed about them or they will give you the shits!
