Sometimes she just feels small,
Like she can’t meet the day,
Overwhelmed, haunted by memories.
She has worked hard to get away from pain
Both physical and emotional, sometimes crippling,
But some days it is like hitting a wall,
Climbing it seeming an impossible task.

Those days, having His strength means everything,
Having His lap to curl up on,
Arms to hold her close and safe.
If she needs to talk, He listens,
Yet He also understand there are times
When all she needs is His comfort,
A place to feel safe and never judged.

With Him by her side
She regains her strength and energy,
Her faith that things will be okay.
When He kisses her softly and whispers “Mine”,
She starts thinking maybe she is good enough anyway.
Not having to face every day on her own
Makes even the difficult ones tolerable.

He is her pillar of strength, an anchor on stormy seas,
The light at dawn after the darkest night.
With Him by her side, it is safe to stumble,
Knowing He is always there to catch her.
