As He shackles her wrists

He doesn’t imprison her,

He sets her free,

Gives her peace of mind, of heart.

The collar around her neck

Is not of oppression,

But her greatest pride,

Worn as a reminder,

She is His,

She is protected,

She is loved.

When she falls to her knees,

It is not out of fear

Or because He makes her.

She offers her submission freely,

Out of respect, love and honour.

He never takes the power,

It is hers to offer.

When she gives herself,

She does so completely,

Body, heart and soul.

He has her life in His hands,

She will do anything for Him,

Yet He also has the responsibility

To keep her safe.

She needs to serve,

To feel protected, guided, cared for.

He needs to protect, guide, nurture.

Together they are fulfilled,

They are whole,

They are complete.
