The Little Things

Reflections on the one I love…
It’s the simple things
Like hearing your voice in the morning
Listening as you tell me about your day
The joy that is mine when you say that you miss me

It’s when you tell me that my voice is sexy
Or that I make you wet
Yes, it doesn’t take much to turn my whole day around
Maddeningly spiraling out of control, flying straight towards you

Soon all I can think about is you
The sweet caress of your lips
The gentle stroke of your hands on my skin
The beauty of your captivating eyes as they hold mine hostage

All of these things just reel me in
It’s almost as if you own me instead of the other way around

There are these thoughts of you that just take over…
My hand gently sliding through your hair
Cupping the back of your neck
Forcing my tongue inside the warmth of your mouth

I remember your eyes, your sense of need, and my urgent response...
And so I spin you around
Tugging the painted-on jeans down your silky smooth legs
Your breathing grows heavy until it is completely taken away from you

My hands and my tongue begin their exploration
Your hands falling forward to the mattress as your moans fill the vacant air
My tongue pushes further into your sultry depths until finally, at last
You pour your love on me, flooding my mouth…

As sexual as we are, it is not what makes us “us”
It’s our once in a lifetime, unbelievable connection
The love and respect and admiration we have for each other
It is here that real sexual chemistry is born

Yes it’s the little things that make this life worthwhile
That inspires me to get out of bed in the morning and to press on
These are the things most treasured
And my treasure, my beloved, is you
