The lost lover

When all is lost, memories are all that remains
You lie in my heart, from the very start.
Though so far you are.
My thoughts go astray, to the place where you lay.
And sometimes, distance raises no bar.

Memories go fonder. About you I wonder
The day when I saw your face.
Those sparkling eyes vanishing all cries,
Checking sorrows, at a rapid pace.

That charming smile, without anything vile
The lips that knew no lie.
That sweet voice, like songs of one's choice.
made me feel heaven before my eyes.

Then one day, In my memories stay
when you told me to voice sober.
I remember you say you were going away.
And for me to think, that its all over.

Now when I think of you, sadness blurs my view,
Tears roll down my cheek.
My throat goes dry. For you I cry.
And in my heart, I feel very weak.

Like a flaming dart, you had struck my heart.
And even though you're so far away.
Even with memories so few, I really love you.
And thats all I have to say.
