We Are The Ones That Will Make This Day Real (Revisited) or Part 2

a forever love reawakened

The shimmering heat of passion again,

The rat tat tat

Of Latin passion,

Where a black cat, and a black beetle,

Share the same path with me,

In the heat of the summer sun.

I walk,

Remembering (us)

So many years ago.

And still I love your smile,

And your eyes, so full of desire,

And your laughter (which is us)

And forever (which is us too.)

The crowds,

Cheering as the horses, black as night,

Rear to the song of the horns,

The blast

(over and over)

The same tune

Which we danced to,

All those years ago.

And the weight of tradition,

Bears upon us,

As we walk through the cobbled streets,

Hand in hand again,

Knowing we,

Could be the same as we were then,

And share love as we did then,

Because love is always,

(and always is unending.)

The sea.

A shimmering mass of bliss,

As we watch the sun set,

Always calls us back,

And little bobbing boats,

Have their own realities,

Their own stories,

Their own time,

On which to call,

We are the ones that will make these days forever,

Whether we live or die,

These are days,

Which will never disappear,

Whether we live or die.

Can make death so far away,

That it is simply a speck

On an unreachable horizon,

And when death finally comes,

It will simply be,

Another day.

I clasp your hand in mine.
