When She Dreams

She has such sweet dreams
When the clouds are spun sugar
And the rain is so sweet
She will fall into his arms,
And their own little retreat.

When the trees are magical
And the breeze plays their song,
He will be her love forever
And with him she does belong.

When they build elaborate castles
From a beach of sand tart dust,
The sun will shine upon lovers
Rolling in the fervor of lust.

When the ocean's cocktail becomes
A honeyed concoction so sweet;
They will swim in its depths,
Floating, drunken and complete.

When wishes are whispers
Under a soft moon's glow,
They will tumble under a spell
Bound by a love they can never forgo.

When warm rivers course
And drench their sultry dance;
The enchanting midnight hour
Will bless their meeting of chance.

When the mountain caps of cream,
Beg their sweet climb,
These lovers will ascend,
Lost in space and time.

When he reaches out to her,
He steals her in her slumber.
They collide between atmospheres
And the stars explode in numbers.

When her eyes flutter open
The sighs of ethereal release,
Give way to stark realities
Far from her magical, dreamy peace.
