Hi Annie,
Like you I've wondered if there was any way to increase my readership. There are so many stories and so many good writers, that just reading alone is a huge challenge. But my ego wants to be stroked, I want to hear from readers, or at least note that my passion for writing is being appreciated. I've tried in forums to include the link to my stories, but, in true, it is foolish in the busyness of Lush and its many features, to hang ones hat on promotion.
I am not the prolific writer that you are, but do have the motivation to work toward a novel publication. I have one more story, "A Gift at Christmas" that I am submitting as my last on Lush, at least for a while. (My biggest problem is I love to read so much that I too often neglect writing. I agree with most authors here, I like reading first person. As to writing, often the story - plot and characters - weave the tale incorporating both first and third person. In reality, sex is absolutely first person.
