The perfectionist in me has never been satisfied when I have tried to make videos in the past - inadequate lighting, too few camera angles, scenes that are far too long (watch the soaps, few scenes last more than 10 seconds before there is a change in angle etc). Still pictures are much easier to handle, especially in these days of digital cameras, but even then it is better to be an observer rather than a performer if you want to make really satisfactory porn.
