Ladies, this is your chance to express what clothes/accessories you enjoy seeing on a man. This can be very basic or something quite unusual that you once saw.

depends on the situation. I love seeing a guy work in a white tee shirt and snug jeans(wranglers please!) There is something incredibly sexy about a button up shirt and tie, but I wouldn't want to him swinging a hammer that way. or vice versa. If we are going out somewhere, leave the jeans at home.

Quality jeans, fitted (but not skin-tight) tees, long-sleeve tees or knits or button-down shirts. Athletic sportswear, board shorts, ski-jackets, long trenches, nice shoes, short boots, cool jackets. I guess sporty and casual-to-trendy would fit my preference best. I'm not that into the whole suit n' tux thing, unless it's required for work or special events. A guy that's got a bit of style but is still keeping it easy and casual turns my head far more than a guy in a suit.

Do you girls prefer a crew-neck or a v-neck for shirts? I always preferred crew-necks ; more comfortable and more masculine.

I don't mind either. I think it's about the level of the v-neck.

Dressy V-neck t-shirt (The V not too deep but enough for a hair or two to show), snug jeans but not overly tight (don't need to see what he had for breakfast). strong belt bucket and tidy boots or shoes.

Not my style personally. It's a bit too fashionable to my liking. The purple coat especially looks off to me. And knit sweaters that are too pale/texturized tend to look too 'soft' ; not enough masculine/badass for me. I 'get' the style though, but the guy pulls it off mostly because he's a model in my opinion.

I much prefer these for an autumn look (minus the funky necklace/belt on the second picture) :

Seriously, you seem gifted to find pictures around the web. I tried searching for pictures of a trench coat with a casual style, but couldn't find any ; I literally Googled with about 6-7 different terms. Your 3rd picture represents exactly what I was looking for. How did you find it?

I don't have a trench coat in my wardrobe currently, but if I had one I'd aim for that look exactly. It would look good too with a colored knit sweater similar to those I posted above.

I like the boots on the 2nd picture too.

Beckham doesn't have the most awesome shirts/jeans in my opinion though, especially in the last 2 pics. His jeans are a bit too washed off, plus they're too long. But hell, he's Beckham...

Hmm... not sure how I found them. I think the coat pic I was looking up scarves. The coat is just a basic pea-coat though. You can find that style anywhere. It looks great with a heavy scarf.

The boots in the first two pics are actually by UGG. smile

Beckham has really great style all around, IMO.

I like these looks too for something a little more styled.

I know what you mean. I appreciate the look myself, but I wouldn't really know when/where to wear it. I guess I'm just too casual for that. I could see myself wearing something as in the 3rd picture you posted though. I like these personally :

What about a blazer with a graphic tee? I tried that a few times, but I prefer to maintain my blazers fresh and tidy for work. Plus, I wear blazers all week long when I'm working, and I have plenty of other casual clothes in my wardrobe I like to wear...

Yeah, I like this look - even more so if the blazer is a one-of though and doesn't look like it belongs with a formal suit. Like maybe it has a bit of unique detailing or is in an atypical fabric. And definitely with jeans.

I favor well worn and relaxed. Boots are fabulous. Roughnecks welcome. Some grime, messy hair. I don't like form fitting clothes like skinny jeans and such. I do have an affinity for duster coats as well.

I'm a jeans a t-shirt gal, especially if the t-shirt is past it's expiration date.

These kind of items are around at a lot of the local folk festivals I go to. I especially like the Baja hoodie - those things are so comfortable and, not suprisingly, I love the material and colours.




I know this is a thread about clothes but I love dreadlocks and a hairstyle can really complete a look I suppose. Not everyone can pull them off but on some men they look really good.

(Especially on Lenny, he's such a beautiful, beautiful man)

I know what you mean. I buy my office clothes separately generally, as I'm rather business casual (ie. no formal 'predefined' suits). I just buy pants in different colors, and shirts in many styles/colors. I also buy my blazers separately, and they look rather casual too ; no fancy texture, buttons, pockets, collars, etc. When the colors of the pants/blazer are different it looks more casual, which I like (eg. gray/black, brown/beige, black/beige, blue/gray). I like a matte appearance often too ; that also looks more casual.

I'm not sure what you meant exactly by unique detailing, atypical fabric though. Did the ones I posted above look good to you, to wear with a tee I mean? The gray blazer looks exactly like what I wear at work. I think it fits nicely in this picture with the graphic tee. The black one seems more 'special' ; it's tighter/lighter and doesn't have 'reinforced shoulders' (or whatever it's called). It seems to have a silky texture too. It looks a bit more metrosexual to me ; I like the second/gray style better, but I prefer a black blazer combined with blue jeans to wear with graphic tees. These are like the blazers I own (I also wear similar styles at work, amongst others) :





But as I've said, I don't want to damage my blazers unnecessarily and I've got plenty of 'cheaper' casual clothes to wear anyway. Maybe I'll invest in one or two less expansive blazers that I'll wear exclusively during my time off. But would a black blazer similar to what I wear at work look good?

At the places I usually work, more often than not the only rule is 'no jeans', but I like to dress well nonetheless. Some guys I've worked with were dressed very badly at times, with cargo pants and polo shirts (two items I always hated, yuck). One guy even wore hawaiian shirts sometimes just to fool around. No clients were ever visiting our offices, so it was alright, but the bosses still maintained the 'no jeans' policy.

Certain guys I've worked with were dressed like this (left), plus a lot were fat and their clothes were loose. Some actually looked worse than the guy on the picture... still they wonder why the hot secretaries give them the same status as the coffee machine. Then I arrive at the office dressed with style (right), and everyone gets mad (except the hot secretaries) :




PS: I rarely wear a tie, but this looks good as it fades with the shirt for a nice casual look. I love plain color shirts too, as they look a bit more classic/elegant/masculine than those with a motif.

PPS : some of the guys I described above, despite having an ugly style, earned 70-80k/year and were driving Audis and Porsches. Then some other guys, at the same company, were working in the sales department and were all dressed stylishly, but only earned 40k/year or so and were driving Hondas, lol.

I don't earn 70-80k/year myself though, as I don't have exactly the same diploma/career as those other guys. But I work in the technical department with them. Now I'm getting everybody confused...
