I'm looking to purge everything and start fresh here with a brand new profile. I don't think that's a problem with most things... just create a new profile and delete/deactivate the old one. What I'm mostly curious about are my stories.
Of course, I'd want them associated with the new account. Should I just delete them and then resubmit under the new profile? I'm a little worried they won't get approved because they've been seen before. Am I just being paranoid about it?

How about an account/profile name change and in addition a review of you profile? If you delete your account you will also lose your current subscription.
If you do delete, delete stories first, then profile. When I deleted my old profile, I just deleted my profile and now I find my stories can still be found if, for instance, I revisit the links in old promo threads.
But I am with John. I don't think I would do that again. Maybe do a name change, redo my profile, and prune my stories down to just the "keepers".
I was in a very bad place last time, by the way, and now I know to watch my mood before taking decisions like this.

We tend not to reapprove old stories if you delete them. We're really busy with submissions, so it's frustrating when people submit the same work twice. I'd advise what John says - go for a name change, or a friend purge or something. If you do delete, please only submit new stories, thanks.
