New Leaderboard for Top Stories/Authors

On the site footer you should see a link to a new Leaderboard section.

The top three most popular stories and authors each month will earn a new badge. You can also search top authors of all time, and do the same for stories which you can also break down by category.

I can see one that says 'Top Author' and I am not sure that that was there before so is that it?

I cannot see any explanation as to what Top Author means in this instance.
