If I'm spending good money on a nice whiskey, I'm not drinking it to get bladdered, I maybe have one or two measures (okay, so they may be pretty large) over ice in an evening. It's pure pleasure and I just love the taste.I look at it in a similar way to buying perhaps a really expensive food item like a good quality caviar. Now, some people spend far more than a pretty penny on this kind of stuff but it's for personal enjoyment and a nice way to treat yourself.
