Hiya Folks.

Well I have been writing erotica for a little while, less than a year. I have been approached by a number of FREE sites, etc, to keep them filled with stories, however, I have been offered some money to write. I have worked as a journalist, so I know the value of words, what I do not know is the price paid for Erotic fiction. I don't really know where to go to publish, etc. Can anyone offer any advice please?

If you go to Duotrope--$50 a year--you can search for anyone who will publish any genre, including erotica. Some of them pay well. You can search by pay rate too, and length of story, and a bunch of other stuff.

I haven't been published too many times, but when I have it's by using Duotrope.

1. Rob a bank
2. Use the money to commit financial investment fraud
3. Use those proceeds to purchase a small but well-armed militia, and annex a small 3rd world country
4. Rack up trillions of dollars in national debt which is systematically embezzeled and funneled through a complex network of international money laundering paper corporations to diversified private accounts in the Caribbean, Mediterranian, and Switzerland.
5. Go into a rotating exile through Chile, Russia, North Korea, Saudi Arabia, and Tunisia.
6. Write a fucking book.

Post-avant-retro-demelodicized-electro-yodel-core is my jam.

Hey there! It's been a while since this post was made, but I hope you're still around and looking for advice. Writing erotica can be a great way to make some extra money, and I hope you've made some really good progress since then. As for how much to charge, here's a simple rule: you define the price, and the client defines the VALUE. Make clients value your work, so they will pay any money for it.

If you're still looking to get published, you may want to look into self-publishing options. There are plenty of ways to make money this way, and you can even set your own prices. You could also look into submitting your work to magazines and journals. Good luck!

I don't write...I have other talents, but writing is not one of them, but I buy a lot of books, including erotic ones and I often wondered if erotic writers can make a living from this. I mean an erotic book costs from 1 to 5 Euros...at least the ones I looked for. True, that I only buy e-books, but still...

Yeah, I think only with a good promotion (you pay for it or if you are lucky enough to get a publisher who does that for you) you can make a living out of it.

Writing erotica and making money from it sounds like a unique journey. Kudos on the offers coming your way! Finding the right platform to publish and get paid can be tricky, but you're on the right track seeking advice. Considering you've got writing chops from your journalism days, that's a solid foundation. To hit a 1000 a month goal https://www.lushstories.com/forum/writing-resources/how-to-make-money-from-writing?post=4328494 , focus on a few things. First off, research is your buddy. Check out different erotica platforms and see what they're offering. Some pay per story, while others might offer a share of the revenue. Quality matters, too. Given your experience, your words hold value. Keep honing your craft, and don't settle for peanuts. Also, consider building your own brand. Creating a website or blog showcasing your work could open up opportunities.

It's awesome that you're exploring the world of erotic fiction and considering opportunities to get paid for your writing. Finding the right platform to publish your work and understanding fair compensation can be a bit of a challenge, especially in a niche like this.

Since you've got a journalism background, you already have a solid foundation for storytelling. I'd recommend researching platforms specifically geared towards erotic fiction, as they might offer better rates. Websites like [mention any well-known sites for erotic fiction, if you know of any] can be a good place to start.

Also, don't hesitate to reach out to other erotica writers in online communities or forums. They often have valuable insights and can share their experiences.

And if you're looking for more ways to make money through your writing, you might want to check out apps that pay you real money ( https://wealthofgeeks.com/apps-that-pay-you-money/ ). They can be a great side gig to complement your passion for storytelling!

Post steadily. Have a blog. Patreon.

It’s harder and harder to make money as a writer. Creating a product and soliciting donations can often give you more money than an actual publisher.

As far as publishing goes as well; they will absolutely fuck you over on your first book. If it’s successful you have bargaining power for the second. But even if the first one goes bananas you’ll get almost nothing for it.

Blackmail, done discretely, is always an option for ready sales.
