Your skin slides against mine,
A silent plea
From an ancient ache
You’d warned me
Turned away
Ignored me
Did everything to make me turn too.
Yet between jagged shadows,
Under the blanket of cold,
Moonlight melted
Over the curve of your shoulders
And I released you
From all expectation
From all future ties
From all responsibility to my heart
Now from the ashes of care
Burns a body of need
Primitive, desperate
Every hard plane of your body
Finds its place on mine
Each wrecking thrust
Blinding my heart
Purging my loins
Spoiling the ravishing lust
Inside my flesh
Driving in every point of every word,
All thoughts pushing to one end
Obliterating all reason
Doing exactly what you said you’d do
Digging my nails into your back,
I scream into the heaven
Of devastated souls
As you erupt inside me
Leaving me in pieces,
Spoils of debris,
And slide to a stop
I gasp for breath,
Feel your warmth
Coming to an end
Stay inside me
On this wretched winter night
Batter my body
Take away everything I am
Inflame my senses
And destroy me again
