rise above
the violet colored dawn

Dapple the dimples and goose bumps of morn

Gentle tinkling laughter
at work
among the vines

Nymphs cut and bend to harvest the crops
nimble fingers filling
baskets of flavor

Smiles 
of pleasing contentment
with fulfilling
companionable work
fraught with
coquettish teasing

Older ones softly and robustly vamping
younger ones
in their fresh nubility

Nibbling a grape or two
with lips stained ruby by the rosy fruit
teeth so white
pink tongues lick
tickle
inside

Washed and scrubbed
linen blouses
caress
carefree freed up
breasts

Some dangle with glee
some are small
all
may fill seeking mouths with a taste
piquant

Well-worn cotton skirts 
flow about strong 
sveltely curvaceous 
legs
above crinkling gripping
sandaled 
toes

Tossing tresses
tied
or bundled
or twined
smelling of lavender and grace

Flesh warmed and tanned
by the nourishing sun

Bodies hugged and swathed 
by the nurturing earth

Going about the day
with emotions
free
to feel
to smell 
to taste

Sweating in breezes of harvest time
figures and forms
dripping wet
with the toils of
labor

Dreaming
as their bodies
accept the visions of
craving desire
to reach completion

Nodding
bobbing
laughing
remembering
nights of emergent delight

Soon it will come again
as the drudgery
achieves its culmination

Colorful rays of
crimson colored dusk
delight each child of the earth
and she smiles
at what comes once again

Observing the blossoms of emergent femininity
that open in acceptance 
of the kisses of lips to lips

Viewing the dewy organs of precious nascence
that tremble in receptivity
of the tasting searching tongues

Witnessing the shudders of quaking female flesh
that moves with touches
of the tender probing fingers

Harvesting
the love
of woman to woman
spreading widely
joining gleefully

With the ending
of the travail
of the fruitful 
well gleaned day
