My mind has untied the ropes mooring me to reality.

Pinging from light to light, finding universes and galaxies
of new ideas forming.
Again

Tossing about like a ship, swimming, dodging waves. A web of
threads and rope pulling me along.
Again

Laughing and cursing, I try it all. For now I have no need of sleep.
I'm busy, my mind spinning so many plots and plans.
Again

Journeying through time, I travel to places I never knew existed in
my head.
Again

Until as I run, a wall, no a monolith rises up from the path, blocking
my way.
Again

I fall so hurriedly from grace. Landing in a puddle and muddle of my
own grandiose ideas.
Again

Slumber takes me and I refuse to wake. My brain and body taking a break,
badly needed now after my trip.
Again

I feel at first, then see a light at the edge of the darkness of my curtain
of sleep.
Again

Your hands holding me and bringing me back. I fight you at first, but
your soothing, insistent, demand that I look up at you, makes me give in.
Again

Arms encircle me, as I hear murmurs of love and devotion slowly coaxing me
 back from that dark place I go.
Again

Responding slowly, I feel your hands retying the knots and repairing my
reality mooring ropes.
Again

My eyes fully open now, I return to the safety and love of your embrace.
Again

Always sure that whenever I fall, you'll be there to help me and repair the
damage I've done.
Again

Repayment of such love and devotion not possible in my eyes. It's a gift
you give freely each time that I need.
Again

I can just love you in the only way I know how and keep sailing with you.
It's really all I can give.
Again

Your arms always at the ready, to pluck me out of harm's way. Until the
next hidden storm comes barreling towards me.
Again

I lean over and letting my lips linger on yours, I then ask you this:
"How long can you keep rescuing me and being my savior when it's dark?"
You smile and give the only answer you can
"I can and will do it, again and again."
