Interests Reading, cooking, boating, swimming (anything water-related) ballet, movies, concerts, and exploring new parks. Getting lost in the library or a bookstore. I like some sports, rugby and ice hockey mostly. Although being a Washington Capitals fan was always painful. Update: Forty years as a fan finally paid off culminating in them winning The Stanley Cup in 2018.
Favorite Books I'll read just about anything. Some of my favorites are Salem's Lot, The Stand, The Shining, Icy Sparks, Dracula, Frankenstein, The Sparrow, The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat, and Oryx and Crake. I love libraries and bookstores. I finally own an e-reader but nothing can beat the feel and smell of a book in my hands.
Favorite Authors Stephen King, Tess Gerritsen, Ray Bradbury, Edgar Allan Poe, Anne Rivers Siddons, H.P. Lovecraft, Clive Barker, Richard Matheson, Margaret Atwood, Jo Nesbo, Lars Kepler, Slyvia Plath, Shirley Jackson, and Mary Roach. So many more and discovering new ones all the time.
Favorite Movies Apollo 13, Sunshine, The Birds, Body Heat, Crimson Peak, The storm of the Century, The Big Easy, Witness For The Prosecution, The Thing, anything with zombies and horror films (especially the old black and white Vincent Price ones). I'm a Netflix addict.
Favorite TV Shows Westworld, The Walking Dead, Project Runway, The Alienist, The Grand Tour, American Horror Story, Whose Line is it Anyway, Big Little Lies, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, Top Chef, and more. My DVR is always full but I often don't get to most of it. Time is always an issue.
Favorite Music Too many to list. Mostly classic rock from the '70s and '80s. Some folk, indie, an occasional country song. I love classical music as well.
