There is no such thing as a slut, just someone with a healthy sexual appetite.
If you're horny you can always masturbate but personally I prefer the real thing.
I suppose if I was female I would be called the biggest slut around because I wouldn't be missing out.
There's too many double standards in this world.
If a lady does it for $1 000 a time she's a whore.
If she does it for her husband, and lives in a big house, in a good neighbourhood, complete with swimming pool, a new car every year and lots of European vacations she's called a pillar of society.

What is a "slut"?
If you mean a woman that has multiple partners, I would say that she just enjoys sex. If it was a guy, he'd be called a stud. Talk about double standards!

The number of women that I've slept with is 8, but I'm gay.

I've been called a slut. I remember the first time was high school. I was like guys can't be sluts. Turns out we can be. I'm not saying the number because every time I'm asked this question and I answer it truthfully women seem to get pissed off or stop talking to me. So I'm going to say a gentleman never tells. As for what I think a slut is. A slut has nothing to do with how many people you have had sex with but how you act during sex. If a chick has had 1000 dudes but just lays there she is no slut, a ho she maybe but no slut is she. Now say a woman is with her first love-mate but she doesn't care how she looks when she works that cock and works it till one of them faints then she my friend is a slut indeed. And it should be seen as a compliment.

Come on, how many girls have you slept with?

Enquiring minds wish to know.

Fuuck no. You already think I am a pig. I'm not adding more fuel. I will say this though regardless of how many they all were more than willing. In fact, most of the times I was the reserved one.

I don't think it's how many partners that makes a girl a slut at all. I think a woman can have lots of partners and not be a slut. I prefer women with a lot of experience. They tend to be open and more adventurous. I think it's a problem when a woman is not selective in who she has sex with. It's not a quantity thing, it's a quality thing.

I don't think the number of sexual partners makes a girl slutty. I think it's how a person picks her up...and they still put out

Its so unfair if a man sleeps with alot of women hes a stud if a woman does the same thing shes a slut

Difficult question.... I mean, first off, the word is ambiguous and one I only use playfully really, as a trigger to encourage, not as a label to classify. I have met many women who enjoy what are usually derogatory titles being applied to them, in ways that are playful, not meant to be denigrating. But aside from that, applying such a title to a woman sounds judgmental, and one should try not to be like that, in any context, but especially about someone's sexuality. We all like good things in abundance, especially sex.

So long as the individual in question is not sexually hurting or preying on others, not intentionally or unintentionally using someone else or acting maliciously, or taking advantage of another in whatever context, or simply being self-destructive, using sex the same way an alcoholic uses liquor, then a total lack of inhibition is positive for me. Aside from using it because she actually likes such labels, or because she likes "dirty" talk, calling her a slut based on the number of men she has had is both inaccurate and unfair and says more about the mindset of the person applying the label than the lady in question.

But if you really wanted to define it, and I don't mean to split hairs, but for me, it would not be the number of men, but the mindset. If a definition is mandatory, then I'd suggest that a slut is not a woman who sleeps with what might be considered an excess number of men, but one who would sleep with anyone without question or consideration. A woman who will take just anyone and everyone, outside of just fantasizing, would probably fall into the self-destructive category. Or maybe not..... maybe we're all just too much a victim of social conditioning.

All the above psych. 101 stuff aside, I'd be with any woman with whom I thought I could co-exist and cohabitate with a solid and mutual harmony. Given her wide repertoire of comparison, she might be a bit intimidating, and that's probably the root cause of such labels as slut; a control mechanism to avoid unflattering comparisons. But most women will show pretty quickly if they're happy with their companion and I'd be willing to try to pair off with such a woman. You don't know until you try.

It all comes down to what's in the mind. I think all of the terms are derogatory and a person's sexual activity should be no one else's business except their own.

Sluts and whores exist in both genders. But, this question is similar to "How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop?" Each person has their own number and definition of what equates to a "lick" so to speak.

The whole label thing is so sophomore. Promiscuous lifestyles for both men and women are an indication they are seeking something more than just sex. It is obvious that they have a need that is not being met. Every person is different. For some it is a direct result of being told as a child they are not attractive or likable, so sex becomes an affirmation they are desirable. For others it is because they came from a suppressive family background. The old saying at times is true. "Looking for love in all the wrong places." The need to be loved and accepted is a powerful shaping force in everyone's life.
We can be whom ever we desire. It's all about choices. For instance, the label "poor" becomes an anchor dragging people down if they accept it. Once you consider yourself by a label it has defined you. Slut is one of them.

I think your are dead onsmile

It's not how many, but more on how you come about the encounters. I don't think that one who does anything and everything in the room makes you a slut just because it's slutty, it just makes you kinky and fun.

Truly and "philosophically", I don't know if there is a "Magic Number". I think that anyone who engages in sexual contact irresponsibly and cynically for purely perceived material/social status gain - whether it's with only one person, or 100 - can be considered a true "slut" (in the worst sense of the word). Another good, more "street" definition is as follows: A "slut" does everyone. A "bitch" does everyone....but YOU!

I think it really matters what the lady in question thinks. I have know women who are strong independent and know what they want from life and I have have known women who have acted slutty because they thought it brought them acceptance. Numbers do not make the person understanding ones self and why we act a certain way does.

I've been called a slut (the first time I was still a virgin). I've only slept with three people in my entire life, all long term monogamous relationships.

The original definition of the word slut doesn't have anything to do with sex. It first appeared in Middle English in 1402 as slutte, with the meaning "a dirty, untidy, or slovenly (messy)woman", in reference to her housekeeping, most likely. Another early meaning was "kitchen maid or drudge" in 1450.

So basically, anyone who uses the word in a sexual context doesn't know the meaning of the word. Yet men and women still use this term interchangeably with bitch and prostitute to degrade a woman sexually, because God forbid a woman actually admits she likes sex. Yet if she has solid moral character and doesn't put out on demand, she will be called a Prude, which is just as insulting to a woman who enjoys sex.

If you're going to call a woman names, at least be accurate. Better yet, stop insulting women at all.

I never called a woman/girl a slut. I would hear others do it, and it made me wonder (excitedly) what that girl was like. When I was in my mid-twenties, I remember the argument being proposed about women being called sluts for having sex with a lot of guys, but guys were admired if they had the same body count. Right then and there, I decided there were no sluts, at least not in the bad sense of the word. Fair was fair, and I'm big on being fair, and being treated fairly.

I have slept with/had intercourse with, three women, in my 53 years on this planet. I had the opportunity to sleep with several more, but I chickened out because of my conservative upbringing.

I think most guys call a girl a slut when she is having sex with other guys but refuses to have sex with him. In my opinion, the more variety the better... no?

If a persons a slut its determined by their attitude and not by the number of partners they have had in the past. I always wondered, what is the opposite word of slut?

Your number is your number. Who eles is going to know the truth besides you, yourself. Your number could grow exponentially if your single in your 20's, 30's or even 40's & love to meet new people & have new experiences.
You could be married with a loving husband and still enjoy meeting new friends & even new experiences. Those that use the term can only guess or assume based on information or misinformation they choose to accept. As another mentioned within this line of questions and answers the term is used by some women & or men that just might have a bit of jealousy mixed in their emotions and beliefs. I believe women should enjoy what life has given us to the fullest & if that is multiple x multiple partners enjoy!!!!!!!

The numbers do not make the slut. The slut makes the numbers. The slut will accumulate them over time. She will fool and manipulate and coerce men into loving her. Giving her everything she has ever wanted. She will lie and steal what she can. The slut will break as many hearts as she can since she has none of her own. She will foolishly, knowingly and self destructively bring down not only herself but every other man in her life she deems worthy of fucking. The slut will seem like a heaven sent saint into your life. Then she like a virus will devour and destroy the host. Then she will move onto another host. This process will continue on until she is either cured or finally cut off from hosts. This what a true slut is.

I think it is more about how she goes about doing it. If she is just getting it from random people all over or people she had some sort of relationship with. There fore in my mind it is not a number but an action.

I don't think it's a total number thing. Being a slut is more of a rate. A girl could have slept with 50 guys but that could have been ten years ago, a period she would refer to as her 'slut phase', implying that she is no longer a slut. Plus it really depends on whether we're talking one night stands or continual hook ups (since I would say that it's not as slutty if she's hooked up with the particular guy before) or if it's even just one guy at a time.

If it's a full-on gangbang, once a year is the slut threshold.
If it's threesome or foursome, anything more than twice a year is slutty.
If we're talking all one night stands, I'd say a rate higher than a guy per month would be slutty.
If we're talking continual hook-ups (e.g. not dating anyone but hooks up with one of four different guys on occasion) then I'd say a rate higher than a hookup every other week would be slutty.
If it's some sort of exclusive friends with benefits situation, it would take at least a weekly hookup for her to be considered a slut.

Not that there is anything inherently wrong with being slutty, some of my best chick friends are almost in the triple digits (and no, surprisingly, I haven't slept with any of them), just that that's where I'd make the distinction. I'm sure many people would disagree with me on where I put the line but I'm also not speaking for every guy out there when I say this. To each their own.

I can’t think of a good tagline so this will have to do. Suggest a better one for me?
