Announcing the Winners of our "Valentine Poetry" Competition

This competition was incredibly popular and we had some super entries.

There were so many good poems, that we decided to give the judges a shortlist of 12 instead.

Showing her versatility, Tamara has won this one with her excellent poem, "Just Three Syllables." Following close behind was a complex and beautifully written poem from our poetry specialist, Elliot Lacey, and a delightfully romantic poem by Liz:

1st Place: Just Three Syllables, by tams_back_yay.
2nd Place: Loosed Arrows, by Elliotlacey31.
3rd Place: Love Is, by Liz.

Rounding up the Top 12 are the following poems, which I urge people to read if they haven't already:

Congrats to all of the winners and the runners-up. Congrats to all who entered. I was truly inspired by the talent and depth of writing that I saw. Thanks to all who read and scored as well.

Congratulations to Tams_Back_Yay and his winning poem. I commented on his poem that I didn't think he needed luck in the competition with his entry and I'm so glad my prophecy came true for him. Well done to the second and third place winners too and to the rest of the top ten field. Congratulations too to every writer who entered, especially to those for whom this was their first story or first competition. Takes courage to step out of your comfort zone.
