so did gav remove the part that let you see who scored without commenting on your work even if they are not your friends? i liked that part.

It still did that when I logged in today... (I quite like that too)

it does help you narrow down who is ruining your average score...

Is it wrong that I got a wee bit excited and exclaimed "aw hell yeah!"? So ya gonna do it, or just tease us?

I'm curious about the notification you get when you've been quoted.

Is it triggered by someone clicking the "Quote" button of your reply or is it triggered by the string
Quote by username
Quoted text.[/ quote]?

I would assume that the 'Quote' button just runs the script to post a reply, then dumps the other users text into the window, inside those pre-defined tags.
I might be wrong, but it's probably the string that triggers the notification.

I asked Gav about that a while back. he said it's got something to do with the trained miniature elephants inside my computer. at the time, i didn't question it, but now, well... i've been stuffing peanuts into my hard drive for a few months now and, of course, keeping a thumble of water in there for them and... either he's been feeding me a story, or they died... sad

You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

That would have been my guess, too. I was just interested as I thought it was quite clever, however he's doing it.

what she said.

basically a regex on all posts looking for the quote pattern. it extracts the username and post to their timeline.

Thanks, Gav. I'm a little dense about computing (or that's how it feels when around some of my friends) so maybe this isn't as clever as I seem to think but I'm impressed nonetheless.

My computing prowess extends to basic programming using Maple (if anyone even knows what that is) and producing documents in LaTeX (which is really simple and practically essential for mathematicians anyway).

My Timeline's broken!! I can't believe I broke it already!

My series of events.

I checked it out. Sign out for the first time since I signed into Lush. Signed back in. (Had to go searching for my password)

VOILA! Timeline! (Totally awesome by the way)
(gav... God... gav... God... I'm seeing a pattern here. 3 letter word. Starts with "g". Has the ability to change things in the blink of an eye)

A few days go by. I check my timeline. Nothing. Nobody loves me. I go to my profile page and *BOOM*.
I've got some mullet wielding, redneck douchebaggery from Jeff on there. WTH?!?!

I had no warning!! sigh I was ambushed!

I figured I broke it. gav? (God?) Can you fix it? PUHLEEEZE? Or tell me how not to break it?

Oh yeah...I just saw that a couple of days ago when I logged into Historias...

I can't remember offhand what year it was the last time I logged out of Lush...so, I'll probably never see it here...

You know you want it, you know you need it bad...get it now on Amazon.com...

Nope, mine's called Bob, because he just bobs around doing his thing. He doesn't play with Willys, but he gives them a friendly wave now and again.

I love this feature too! Is there any way to view it even if I haven't just signed in? I sometimes sign out and then back in just to see what I missed all in a helpful little list!!
