The Heartland Institute, the host of this conference, is funded by companies like Exxon and Wal-Mart.
"Heartland campaigns against what it refers to as "junk science"; supports "common-sense environmentalism", such as opposition to the the Kyoto Protocol aimed at countering global warming, and promoting genetically engineered crops and products; it supports the privatization of public services; it opposes tobacco control measures such as tobacco tax increases and denies the health effects of second-hand smoke, and it promotes the deregulation of health care insurance."

They are funded by numerous agencies whose goal is to increase corporate power at the expense of government power.

Frankly, if my wife was at a bachelorette party with a stripper, I could hope that she'd come home "hungry"...

Thank you! I hope my signature won't be a problem, I saw that other guy got hammered into the ground...

I think most folks ought to know by now. This guy didn't, but every job I've had has hammered at this topic.

I found Lulu to be very easy to use. My book is "Magical Clothes", available in ebook and print. The one major drawback is that the print books are more expensive than mass-produced books. As e-books, however, they are quite reasonable.

You will definitely need to do your own marketing in a big way. Lulu is JUST a printer and distributor, NOT a publisher. Making your title available there isn't going to get you any sales all by itself. Many people shy away from self-published titles because so many of them are so shoddily edited.

Mine excepted, of course.
