Ok guys I just finished watching elfen lied, and even though its a short 13 episode series i find my self caring for the characters. At the end I found myself in tears and I wanna know, what animes have made you cry? (you can list elfen lied even though I used it :P)

Sailor Moon. Yes I cried when I watched the last episodes of the final season where Sailor Moon battles Galaxia. After Sailor Uranus, Sailor Neptune etc are dying and Sailor Moon cries she doesn't want them to go and she can't do it on her own.

It still chokes me up when I replay it in my mind.

Oh there is an anime of "The Little Mermaid." from the 70s. Where Marina kisses the prince, jumps over board the ship and starts floating into the sky as foam. With Fritz the Dolphin calling out for her. Really this is Little Mermaid is a better version then Disney.

Never actually shed a tear over an anime although this scene from one of the Pokemon movies got me pretty close!
