I was so hoping this was an internet hoax... but sadly it wasn't. So, to honor this great actor... here is a scene from the movie I most associate Bill Paxton with.

RIP Chet.

Complications due to surgery. So many iconic roles. Killed by an alien, a predator, a terminator, and survived both Helen Hunt and a K5 Tornado rising up his asshole.

A shitty 2016 has been leading directly into an even shittier 2017. It all began with the Cubs winning the WS.

OUCH dude what did the cubbie's do to you??? I'm glad I got to see them win I hope they repeat smile
I loved him in, I'm ashamed to say, the very small proportion of his work I've seen. He was really versatile and a brilliant actor. He absolutely deserved an Oscar for his role in True Lies.

I'm sad he's gone, but I look forward to enjoying his work, both familiar and not, in the time I have left.

My best wishes for his family and friends.
My latest story is a racy little piece about what happens when someone cute from work invites you over to watch Netflix and Chill.

He was an icon of pop culture for a generation, and left us with so many great moments of movie gold...

I'm sad, he entertained and made me laugh. Game over, but well played.

I have three famous stories, 2 recommended reads and have come in the top ten in two competitions~ Come in and make yourself at home.

My four favorite movies with Bill Paxton were Titanic, The Terminator, Apollo 13 and A Simple Plan, where I thought both he and Billy Bob Thornton deserved Oscars. Bill was a Fort Worth native.
I loved so many of Paxton's movies and roles over the years. io9 has put out a list of their top 13 Paxton roles but it tends to the s-f/fantasy/horror end of things since that's their forte. Still, it's a pretty good selection. I had not known about him being on Agents of SHIELD, thus joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe along with the Terminator, Alien, and Predator universes.

As a longtime vampire fan, his performance as Severen in Near Dark is probably my pick for favorite.

My son is an aspiring meteorologist and storm chaser and pointed me at this next story originally. It's a beautiful tribute from a profession that he portrayed in one of his best known roles:

RIP, Mr. Paxton. Thanks for all the great work you've put in to entertain us.
