We've lost one of the true greats. Gregg Allman passed away yesterday, reportedly due to complications from liver cancer. He was 69.
One of the founding influences of my favorite genre, Southern Rock, The Allman Brothers brought a fresh, authentic flavor to blues, rock and controlled free-form improvisation that few others could ever master.
If you believe in a Hereafter, it's comforting to think that he and Duane are jamming again. He will be missed.
