Having lost a great-grandfather in the battle of the Somme, and having family currently serving, Remembrance Day is very personal for me. I did these photos last year, to help me remember, and used words from Laurence Binyon's poem, "For the Fallen".

That first one is superb.

Tropical thunderstorms are quite common in Darwin, but catching the lightning is still a challenge

Recently my local town was at risk due to massive fires. I went out the other day to see just what was left.
This is one of my favourites

very nice photos
While I'm not a photographer by any means, this picture was the view from my back door at my last apartment. Even taken on impulse from a cell phone camera it remains one of the best pictures I've ever taken.

Well, I tried to post it, but the photo site went down. I'll put in the actual photo once it's back up.

Nevermind, the site has defeated me, and I can't figure out how to delete this post. It will stand here as a testament to my failure.
quite a collection of talented photos. thanks for sharing

Yes, that is just lovely and obviously... missing fun times, but serene. All that moss is growing on it freely by itself? Thanks for sharing.

I would take another photo when the light doesn't have much contrast.
