Just a few minutes ago, finished watching the pilot of the new Fox TV show that cast members call the "sequel" the film, "Minority Report".
All in all, not bad.
Three main problems:
1] Has none of the cast from the movie. (I thought for sure Steve Harris or recent TV "True Detective" Colin Farrell would be on it.)
2] Spends half the show discussing the ending/destruction of the Pre-Crime unit depicted in the film. (How can it be a sequel id the base group from the film hasn't existed since then?!)
3] (Minor Spoiler, Maybe) All takes place in DC... End is at a political event, featuring a man running for (& introduced as) "the next mayor of this great city"... I remember an episode of "The Cosby Show" (IMDb tells me it was '89), where "Vanessa" is playing a game with friends involving the naming of cities alphabetically, & is told she lost the round when she names "DC".
